DH and I are going in November with a group, one of whom smokes. He's 45 and he's been smoking since he was about 16. I'm kinda worried about how he's going to do on this trip. He smokes alot. I don't think I've ever seen him go for an extended period without a cigarette. He knows about the Clean Air Act and the restricted smoking locations available to him,and he seems to think he'll be fine. But...I've watched friends try to quit smoking and I've seen that it is very difficult to do. I can't imagine my BIL trying to go without cigarettes for a few hours let alone a week! I've suggested that he try using a patch at least on the plane, but he insists that he'll be fine. Does anyone have any stories about the difficulties of being a smoker in Florida and/or any suggestions that might be helpful to my BIL?
