You were right Joh!!! By now, I'm sure you've seen Mr. DDW!

It was so very nice to meet him AND to ride Splash Mtn AND to watch the fireworks together AND to have a meal together. ::yes::

If Mr. DDW endorses Cosmic Rays, it must be ok. :thumbsup2 Hooray for FD in December!!!

It was truly a memorable evening!! Ha! I think I was drier in the front than the back...

    Hi AvasMommy!! Thanks!

He is pretty adorable! NO ONE on here 6 months ago knew this young man was not even old enough to have a cocktail!!! And to write such articulate and well thought out dining reviews!!

I agree, I know his mom must be proud!!

Hi Becky! We missed Betsy when we returned several days later but I'm glad we asked for her that night since she was on break.

I love your virtual cheek pinching!! I'm old enough to be his mom's big sister so yeah, I think I fit the deranged aunt description!

Awww.. you go right ahead and tell me how that fund is going!! :lmao: Actually, we just need to see others' do Dis meets and enjoy the reveal of fellow Disers here.

    Thanks!

Ugh! I so didn't want to post that soggy photo of me but heck, it was a good one of Betsy and DDW so I suppose I must put aside vanity for a minute! Glad you got the sneak peek photos. :goodvibes

DDW is a Dis board legend!

Thanks Jill! Yeah, this was #1 of 8! (Well, 8 individual Disers for 6 unique meets.)

Hi basketlacey. I don't recall seeing fried rice on the menu or being served. You could always ask. Or maybe they serve it in China??

Hi Rosey! Yes, now Mr. DDW shall not remain faceless! Yep, liked the fries and I'm not a cheese goo fan!

Thanks! It was fun - even if we were soaking wet!

Thanks! More to come with other Disers too.

Ok, glad to know that my favorite at AK is perhaps a tad better!

Hi there! When DDW texted me that he was wearing a Donald shirt before we met up - I had to respond - but of course!!

Awww...no reason to be shy or worry about an accent (which I'm certain is charming and lovely) . It would be awesome for others to meet you. I would say hi and even give hugs if I saw you. (Yes, I'm a hugger! Poor DDW, I danced around when we first met and just jumped in with the hug - he didn't have a chance!)

Hi Vicki! Yes, the big reveal took place.

I thought the CS meal with the burger and fries would throw people off!

You are way too kind Denise.

Ha!! That's funny! Now you are part of those who know what Mr. DDW looks like!

Hi Debra! Glad you are here to join in! I feel like a proud parent with a birth announcement for their baby with the big reveal!!

I love Cosmic Rays too. It's probably my favorite CS at MK.

So glad you've solved one of the big mysteries here on the Dining Review board by meeting Mr. DDW.:thumbsup2

I enjoyed your review of Cosmic Rays - in all my trips to WDW that's one CS that I've never been to (yet). Will have to make a point to get over there.

I'm finally caught up. I'm not sure how I got so far behind. *head desk*

We haven't been to Cosmic Ray's in forever!! We might have to try that on our trip. It was always good at least from what I can remember. Although I might have to fight DH. He loves Columbia Harbor House so we might have to compromise on something. LOL!!

So cool on the meets. I'm absolutely jealous.

Just wanted to say I'm really happy that a lot of you enjoyed this update and the reveal! It was so much fun meeting Brenda, Emily, and Michael, and it was awesome getting to share some of that with the Dining Review board.

Also, props to Brenda for getting so many great pics, as well as for suggesting doing a combined review. :thumbsup2 She definitely turned this into one of the coolest Cosmic Ray's reviews ever! :goodvibes

Thank you! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to meet this wonderful young man!! It was so much fun!

Thanks Lisa! Yes, the mystere surrounding Mr. DDW has been removed.

Thanks littlestinerbelle!! You must put it on your "one day" list!

No worries Michelle! (I'm behind on so many reviews right now!) I have never tried CHH so it is on my list to try. Yes, compromise and tell your DH that he may find something good at Cosmic Rays - the menu has many options.

    Yay!!!

    Thanks ksack!

Awwww... I'm your biggest fan so it was an honor!! Now I just wish that I had more photos and video but then it would have just been annoying!

Exactly! Just like we learned at CP! :goodvibes Hope all is well Pinkgirl - thanks for reading!!

This was the only morning the entire trip that we didn’t have a breakfast ADR – which was actually very nice since it allowed Michael and Em an opportunity to sleep in while I explored the Boardwalk and picked up some breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery. This would also mark off #13 from my List of 18 from Jabead: 13) Get breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery at least once.

    Boardwalk in the morning:

I had read about lines out the door for the bakery in the mornings but when I dropped in it wasn’t too bad. The bakery is really quite small so a line forms rather quickly. Breakfast is served from 6:30am to 11am. They offer two breakfast croissant sandwiches (ham, egg, & cheese and egg & cheese), a yogurt parfait, cold cereal selections, and fresh baked bakery items. There are refrigerated cases with all manner of cold beverages and then several coffee options.

    Menu Board:

Standing in line I was running through the options on the menu board and trying to catch a glimpse of what was offered on the bakery racks behind the counter. Since I was winging it without their input I just decided to get a variety of items and let everyone fight over the selections in the room. It may have been a mistake to not have a plan since I kept adding “one more thing” to my order! Everything looked really good – especially the cupcakes. In the end, I carried 2 bags back to the room.

    Here’s my choices:

    Beverage choices:

I was in the mood for something hot and cheesy so I ordered the egg & cheese croissant. Since Michael was trying to eat relatively healthy, I got him a yogurt parfait. For Em I got her a cranberry muffin. That is what I thought they wanted. In reality, here’s what happened… Michael was craving protein so he took the egg & cheese croissant. I started eating my back up choice – the bagel with cream cheese. Michael finished his breakfast sandwich and instead of moving on to the yogurt parfait, he set his sights on my bagel! Ok, so I had ½ a bagel. No one wanted the yogurt parfait!! Em loved her muffin. The croissant got eaten at some later time.

    Strawberry Cupcake:

Saving this little beauty for last…… I HAD to try a Boardwalk Bakery cupcake. I selected the strawberry cupcake. This actually sat for 2 days before I got around to eating it and by then the bottom was a little soggy but that’s my fault for not diving in immediately. It had a creamy strawberry mousse type filling that was light and flavorful. Also, just to note that for my taste, there was way too much frosting on this thing. However, I do love sprinkles on my cupcakes so even though I scraped most of the icing off the cupcake I ended up eating most of it since I wanted the sprinkles. Stupid huh?

Next time, I’m just going to eat a cupcake for breakfast!

Great job with the pics of all the BW Bakery goodies, Brenda! The pictures reminded me of all the delicious-looking desserts there that I haven't yet tried, but really want to...like their famous cheesecake brownies. I would love to have one of those right about now. ;)

Anyway, again I must award bonus points for not only completing the task, but going above and beyond. :thumbsup2

Okay I am getting myself over to that Bakery next week :rotfl: I have never been and since I am not doing the dining plan I should have room in my tummy for something delightul there! Since everything at Disney is calorie free I should be okay :rolleyes1 Thanks for taking pictures for us :)

Just so you know where you stand regarding points earned, I have compiled your current total.

For "messing with" the Boardwalk pizza dude and videotaping the experience - 2 pts.

For taking not one but six pics (counting your teaser pics ;) ) with DDW - 6 pts.

For introducing DDW to that fine gourmet food, Chili-Cheese Fries :lmao: - 1 pt.

For riding on Splash Mountain with DDW (very cool! :thumbsup2 ) - 1 pt.

For taking a pic with Princess Betsy and DDW, while soaking wet - 3 pts.

For getting breakfast from the BW Bakery and taking pics of all the goodies in their case - 2 pts.

That brings your current point total to... 15

I think you are well on your way to winning the GOLD!!! :worship:

Yes! I also had that strawberry cupcake on my trip (although I ate mine right away ;)). Looks like you chose a nice variety of goods from the Bakery. :thumbsup2

And it's nice that Emily and Michael got one morning to sleep in. Sometimes, those mornings are even better than making rope drop at the parks.

I much prefer the look of that strawberry cupcake over the one from the Contempo. Disney does love to overdo it on the frosting though! I guess you could have just "brushed" the sprinkles off but that probably would have resulted in a mess :scratchin.

Does anyone actually finish the yogurt parfaits they get at Disney? I say bah humbug to "healthy" eating at the World! Yogurt parfaits barely even make the health cut anyway. I say full speed ahead to the cupcakes :thumbsup2.

Catching up with your DR, darn work keeps taking away from my DIS time, LOL. I love the Cosmic Ray's "duo-report" and the bonus pics of our own DDW! It looks like you and your family really enjoyed sharing this time with him and it's great to finally have a picture to go with the name. :goodvibes Love your choices at BWB, that strawberry cupcake would have been mine too. I always end up scraping most of the frosting off Disney cupcakes, since I usually find it's just too much but I just can't resist them, LOL. I'd also be tempted by the key lime pie, as that and lemon meringue are my favourites. :lovestruc

Looking forward to the next installment! popcorn::
