Earliest flight out of FLL after Oasis of the Seas

Is it possible to catch an 830am flight out of FLL after the cruise? It's my only nonstop choice for the day we get off the ship...

Pretty much impossible.

11:00 A.M. would be the "safest" early flight due to unforseen delays on the ship. That has been our experience.

Possible? Yes. Probable? No.

Everything would have to be PERFECT in the timing category regarding the ship being docked and cleared, and you would need to be one of the first in line to get off the ship when self-disembark begins. That means you would need to carry all your stuff off yourself...nothing left outside your door the night before.

That flight would probably begin boarding around 7:45am. Self-disembark MAY begin around 6:30-7am. By the time you clear customs and get a cab to the airport for the short ride there, then check bags (if needed) and clear security, you may have 10-15 minutes tops to get to your gate for boarding.

The question you should really be asking yourself is whether its worth it to be stressed at the END of your vacation in making the flight, and are you prepared to accept whatever flights are left to get you home if you miss this 8:30am.

When we were on the Oasis a few weeks ago, the express walk off opened starting at 6:30 A.M. We aimed to get off the ship by 7:00 for the express walk off. It is a very long line of people though all bringing their luggage and had a long wait to get an elevator to get to the promenade level to get off. It took a while to get off the ship and make it to the customs agents at the pier. If you could not carry at least one suitcase to hold a handrail down the escalator, it was a very long line to catch 1 of 2 elevators to join the next line for customs. I would not chance booking such an early flight since it is out of your control how long it will take to get off that ship, and then catch some transportation to the airport. Boarding for the plane will probably be around 8:00.
