I saw on another post that I cannot find now that the beverage station on the fantasy was different then the dream. Did the dream twice, sailing fantasy on February 7, wondering what the difference is. Anyone know or have pics?

On the Dream the drink stations are a bit further back (toward Cabanas) and are positioned parallel to the sides of the ship. On the Fantasy they are a bit more midship (toward the food areas) and are set up perpendicular to the sides of the ship.

These are on the Fantasy, the coffee/tea drink station:

Looking at the soda fountains reminded me of another question. A few years ago, people were getting upset when folks used their own cups/mugs at the soda fountains. Are they still pushing to use the provided cups only or are we free to fill up our own mugs (which are bigger)?

You should be able to use your own cup but would need to use their cups to get the drink out of the dispenser and then pour it in your cup.

You're supposed to only use the provided disposable cups when getting beverages. However, you are welcome to then pour that into your own mug and then pour another, and another into your mug.

Yes, DCL does request that you use clean cups for refills. So you'll need to use the DCL provided cups to refill your personal cup.

The reason they want you to use the cups provided at the drink station instead of your own mug has nothing to do with the size of your drink. The real reason is they want to avoid spreading germs/illness on the ship. Norovirus will spread like wildfire in a close quarters environment and quickly ruin a cruise for a lot of passengers. It would actually save DCL money to allow reusable cups and not have to provide the dozens of disposable cups most passengers use during the course of a sailing. I see many people reusing cups in Cabanas, but the reason there are racks of clean cup at each drink station is they intend for you to get a clean cup every time you get a beverage. I've actually seen CMs ask people to get a fresh cup rather than reuse their current cup.

Feel free to fill a larger mug at the drink station, just use a clean disposable cup to do so.
