If it's drama that you sigh for,
plant a garden and you'll get it.
You will know the thrill of battle,
fighting foes that will beset it.
If you long for entertainment and
    for pageantry most glowing,
Plant a garden and this summer spend,
your time with green things growing.

All very true. Though I tend to high drama.....a scythe and sickle more suit my personality....both in the garden and out......:smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

It is true... I too love the drama of the battle... It is great when the results are so beautiful to look at... Great poem!

I would prefer the entertainment aspect to my gardens, but alas, I find myself in battle every year!

Gina, I love your choice of words, though somehow it gave me an image of an old Soviet Union flag flying amongst your posies --:D

Not a bad idea, come to think of it --
