    Just realized my latest batch of Lightroom imports got a 2012 copyright notice added to the meta data. Don't forget to update your pre-sets and watermarks for the new year.

    Thank you. Totally hadn't even thought about it. I'm doing good to add the 13 when I write the date.

    I haven't had to write an actual check in about six months, so I've been spared from making the mistake there. Now that I've voiced that, though, I have a whole stack of papers on my desk that need to be signed. I've probably just invoked Murphy's Law and doomed myself to write 2012 on at least one of them.

    More important than changing those settings - don't forget to register your photos with the Copyright Office. If you ever want to take legal action, the first thing a Federal judge will ask is if you have a valid registration.
