I didn't end up running yesterday because I woke up not feeling well. (And it wasn't from NYE partying...we went to a party but left at 10, and I didn't drink knowing I wanted to run early the next morning!) Anyhoo, I did run today. I opted not to wear my knee sleeves because my knees have felt fine and I wanted to see how they'd feel running. My left knee twinged slightly during my first half mile, but after warming up it was fine. But then during the last quater mile of my run (I did 5 miles) it began to hurt. I'm running again tomorrow and I'll try the knee sleeves for sure. I'm thinking including tomorrow I will only run three more times before the trip!
