Dollar Rental Car associates at MCO tell lies. We arrived late after a long flight from Seattle. The Dollar Car rental associate asked my husband if he wanted the carinsurance. My husband declined it but was then told that his own insurance would not be accepted in Florida, that te ar insurance we had in WA did not transfer to car rentals in FL. My husband then agreed to take the expensive car rental insurance. It was about two days later when we both thought that what he had been told was probably not true. He called our insurance company and was told that yes, our own insurance does indeed cover rental cars in other states including Florida. Had we arrived earlier in the day, my husband would have called our insusrers before taking out the insutance. We don't usually rent cars in FL, we usually get ME from the airport to the hotel. I also heard overheard another Dollar rental person insisting to another couple that they should by a sunpass card, even though they were staying in the Orlando area and not intending to drive much.
