Does Father's day have any positive or negative effect on crowds?

I have not been to DLR on Fathers Day but it seems to me that most places are quieter on Fathers Day. Many dads would just assume stay home and have a beer.

Not sure that loading up a car of screaming kids and doing DL is a great father's day in many dad's eye. That being said, I will be there the week after.

I've been multiple years on Father's day (my anniversary weekend typically). Crowds are surprisingly pretty good. It is RIGHT before summer is in full swing and grad nights are winding down. The last grad night is the 19th. One year, Father's day was one week after Cars Land opening. The crowds were probably the lightest I've ever seen. It's possible EVERYONE was in Cars Land, but you'd think the general population would be increased.

This year, however, I'm a little concerned about the 60th Anniversary hype. Also Monday has always been the busiest day for us.

We will be there on the 20th, the Saturday right before Father's Day, and I have worried about the crowds. It's a non-AP day, so I'm hoping that might help, although it doesn't always. I asked DH what he wanted to do for Father's Day, and he said he'd rather just go to the LA Farmer's Market, tour Hollywood, etc. So that's what we'll do on Sunday instead of DL. (We will be in the area for 6 days and have 3 day tickets to the park, so we can space them out between sight-seeing and beach days). Hopefully I chose wisely ??? :worried:

Disney seems to be expecting large crowds. Cast members will be parking at Angel Stadium tomorrow so one of the cast lots will be used for guest parking.

I was there, and found the wait times actually shorter than they'd been in the past three weeks I've been watching times! Check out my other post for how much I got done!

I was there, too. It was not busy at all! The only lines that seemed long were the water rides and Matterhorn. Granted, we didn't look at RSR at all. We were there on Mother's Day, May 28-29, and May 31. All 4 days were busier.

Used to go every year for Mother's Day and attendance was relatively light. Never went for Father's Day, though now that I;m back East, we head to our local park usually for Father's Day.

As I expected, Father's Day was not very busy. We were at California Adventure all day and the lines were pretty light. FP for Radiator Srings were available until about 2. FP for the first showing of WoC were available until about 5pm. On of the CMs mentioned that they were not allowed to park in the CM parking lot because they expected more crowds (as mentioned above). You could hear the slight tone of annoyance as we discussed the how unbusy the park was lol.
