Hi. We are booking a cruise on the Magic soon. We are booking a cat. 6 and I was wondering if there are rooms that I should avoid or if anyone knew any room #'s that were really good to choose. I am traveling with my husband, and two children, ages 3 and 5. Thanks for any advice.:)

We stayed in 6530 & 6532 Jan. 07, and we'll be five families in Jan. '08 and will have 6528, 6530, 6532, 6536, and 6538. Don't know who will be in 6534! We think those rooms are a perfect location!

We just recently cruised on the Wonder in room 6060. To us, it was the perfect location. It was the first room in the port side hallway from the midship elevators. It was so convenient.

We wer mid ship AFT side on 6572, 6574 and 6576. It is mid ship. The laundry room is right down the hall and you would not know it. Also, you are in the midle for the elevators.:)

We just recently got off the Wonder and were in room 6070. This was in the middle of the ship close to the elevators. We thought is was a great location.

We were in 6596 just last month. We loved the location because it's starboard side and we loved the views from our verandah and also it's close to both mid and aft elevators.

You probably meant midship starboard, right? About 6 cabins from the midship elevators and 20+ cabins from the aft elevators.

Deck 5 aft is one of the best-kept secrets on DCL. My personal favorite room is 5650, but many people don't like the solid metal verandahs. As an alternate, consider 5622. The hall there doesn't have a lot of rooms so there is little foot traffic. Also, 5622 only as a neighbor on one side, so if you are a non-smoker you cut the chances of being next to a smoker by 50%. And the aft elevators are rarely crowded...another bonus of this perfect little area!

We are going to be next door in 6072! It looked like a good location. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully we will as well!

We love stateroom 6076...however it does have a verandah and not so sure with younger kids if you'd want that or not.

We have been in Room 5130 for both of our cruises and have it booked for next year. But it only sleeps 3.

I've only been in 6648 - it was great since it was free upgrade, but wouldn't be my first choice. It had the white wall verandah (again, great for free, but I'd be disappointed to pay for it). It was also too far aft for me (distance to get to elevators to get anywhere), and was very noisy during docking (I think the thrusters are directly below). It was very quiet at other times.

Another vote for 6060. We booked it for our first two cruises and have it booked for our next cruise as well. Just off the elevator/stairs lobby...it is SOOOO convenient to the kids clubs just one floor down, and centrally located to everything else as well. We never heard noise from the elevators/stairs. My kids think it's "our" room!!
