Do you HAVE to have them? No. Is a good idea to have them? Yes.

    Hi,

You do not need passports as long as you are boarding a ship in the US and getting off the ship at the end of the trip in the US. However, god forbid you miss the ship, get sick or need to fly home in an emergency you will be faced with extreme difficulty getting home.

We are going in February and decided to get passports for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) for a total of $480.00.

Yes wicked expensive however they are good for 10 years and in the event there is an emergency I am going to be glad I spend the $480 vs. living in a hotel in Nassau for $200 a night until I can get home.
