Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

:thumbsup2 Nice putting your PIN to good use! That's quite a savings! We put ours to good use too...and now have a late winter and spring trip booked...Used lots of Disney math for that! ;)

Congrats on the pin, glad you were able to put it to good use :goodvibes.

Mickeynut DL plans! Nice!! :thumbsup2 Are you planning to bring your DNiece too??? What a nice intro to all the magic Disney...:goodvibes

Nothing definite yet, just in the pre-pre planning stages...lol. My guys are waiting on dates to be released for a car event that takes place in Bakersfield every year. If the dates work out, we may make it a family vacation and spend time at DL, as well as do other things in CA since we've never been. My niece, unfortunately, wouldn't be going along, but I'll make sure she gets plenty of WDW ::yes::.

Counting down the days!!! In 2 weeks we will be headed back for another club level stay at AKL. If anyone has any questions or anything they want me to check out, just let me know.

How exciting! We will be there in December! If you happen to see (or know of) the elusive stairs on the Kudu side to the lounge, could you post them on here? I tried looking back through all these posts and got swamped! I requested a room on that side, and if we get it I didn't want to cross over to the elevators every time...TIA, and have a fabulous time!

Pictures to put us in the mood would be great!

Do they have Devonshire cream like gf for the scones at tea time?

When is sangria available?

Is there a room location to request to get or not to get? They all look good from what I can tell.

Hope you get good weather! Have fun!

Sure thing. You can't miss them. We typically stay on the other side (Zebra trail) but on our last trip in May we were on the Kudu side. We thought we would hate it but it is actually so convenient to be able to zip up the stairs. I'll definitely get you a picture.

I'll take some pictures. We typically spend a good amount of time at the resort so hopefully I'll get some good ones. They had some really yummy cream with the scones during our stay in May. I sure hope they still have it this time. I'll see what I can find out about sangria. I don't typically drink so I don't pay much attention to that. As to room requests.. we have stayed club level at AKL many times over the years. We have always request Zebra trail. We even have claimed a certain room. When we checked in for our May trip, we were assigned a room on the Kudu trail. I was really disappointed. I thought we would hate it. I told Sam (one of the CMs) that we typically aren't demanding guests but I just didn't think this room location was going to work. He worked his magic and got us the exaxt room on the Zebra trail that we always stay in but it wasn't available until the next day. We were happy and were ready to make the best of a night in a room that we weren't happy with. He said just to call the next morning when we were heading out and they would store our luggage until our new room was available. Long story short, we loved that room and ended up calling in the morning saying we had changed our mind and didn't want to move. We had great views of the animals and the secret stairs were really convenient. I think I still prefer the Zebra trail but I'm not sure there is a bad room to get. If you want good animal viewing, I would suggest making a request for further down the hall away from the rock.

OK what are the secret stairs?

Thanks for the info too, helpful. We only stayed there once for a few days back in 2003 so I am not as knowledgeable about akl like I am the others.

They aren't really secret. AKL has two ways you can enter the club level lounge. You can take the elevators which are on the Zebra trail side of the hotel. The elevators take you to the 6th floor, you pass the lounge desk CMs, etc. On the Kudu trail side, there are stairs that lead to the lounge. If you are staying on the 4th floor, there is one flight of open stairs then from the 5th to the 6th floor there is a gate type thing around the stair entry that is unlocked with your magic band. The stairs lead to the back of the lounge.

Thanks! I was trying to avoid having to make a call to CRO! As a DVC member, we can book online, and even if you do call member services its usually a quick call. I actually sent an email inquiry to The IPO and they said they were happy to book it so I gave them our flight info. Cannot wait to check out the Stone Harbor Club! :goodvibes

Hi! Just booked my WL CL stay: jan 10-17!!
Can I find that amazing sangria over there too?
Any chance ir the new lounge be open by that time? Thanks!

Just checked in today! We're staying GF (RPC). We arrived via ME & were appeoached by name by a CM who took us up to RPC, gave us all the info, & escorted us right into our room! We were upgraded. We had just a regular 2 queen room & now have a king with balcony! I requested "4423", "4323" or "beach pool view". We're in 4429. We love our room! Our balcony is huge & wraps around the corner. ❤️ Will post pics later.

I'll answer an questions that I can.

I keep saying they need this at WL! The stairs are already there.....just wish they could add MB access so those of us staying in a deluxe room could utilize this route.

Does any one have any recent pictures of the BWI Innkeepers club longe, food, or even know what they are currently serving? My trip isn't for a year and I know the food will change. However, the second I upgraded to CL I got so excited and am looking for anything related to bwi

I stayed there in July and posted some pictures I think in the BWI thread. I'll go check for them and will post back.

OK here are some pics:

First night: Minestrone soup, pork slider sandwiches, rice mixture, roasted veggies, fresh Italian bread, pb&j, cheese, and probably corndogs:

Third night. Beef barley soup, mickey waffles with chicken inside(!), can't remember what else -- something none of us liked which explains why there are no pictures!

My kids were very excited to see mickey waffles....until they bit into them - lol.

This was not our favorite night for food. We enjoyed the minestrone soup much more than the beef barley. Just our personal taste, though, as I'm sure many enjoy the beef barley. And the mickey waffles were an awesome idea, but the chicken seemed strange inside them. I didn't mind them and I did eat a couple, but the rest of my family did not care for them.

Here are a few misc pictures of afternoon treats and morning breakfasts.

And the CM's graciously handed out bottles of water whenever anyone asked for them:

A few misc notes:
One morning they had deviled eggs for breakfast.
They did have the small sandwiches during the afternoon time.
Desserts were pretty standard -- I can't think of anything that stood out.
We loved the idea of bottles of orange juice at breakfast.
We wish the dispensers of iced tea and lemonade could've been out at all times.
Alcohol was self-serve. Beer was in the fridge. Wine on a cart.
