Which building or section of LM should I request?

Also are there booths with people doing hair braiding or wrapping at the big pool?

    TIA!!!:)

It doesn't matter which LM building you are in. They are all super close to each other. We were in Ursula's building which is the only one that does not have a parking lot next to it but even it wasn't far to walk to. LM is the farthest from the Animation Hall and buses.

Just back from our stay at AoA in the LM section, so I wanted to post a few quick thoughts from the trip...

Check in and check out were quick and easy, and our room was ready when we arrived at about 10am. We were in building 7, facing the lake and POP on the 4th floor. I was worried building 7 would be far from the parking lot, but it was fine. We had no issues with noise at all, but maybe that was because we were on the top floor.

No issues with the thermostat in the room. For some reason, we were not able to set it any lower than 68, but it stayed at that temp the entire time and we never had any complaints with the temp. In fact, we were a little cold at night.

For those who are concerned with the walk from LM to the main building - don't be! It's not bad at all! It was just not an issue. Of course, other buildings are closer, but for the standard rooms, the walk in not bad at all. We loved the theming around the resort - the pool looked fun, even though we didn't swim, and the Cars section is amazing!

I am admittedly a deluxe-snob, so the things that bother me about the other values were the same at AoA:

~The room was really small. We are 2 adults and 2 little kids and it was short trip for us, and I still felt like we were bumping into each other all the time. Two sinks would have made things a lot easier.

~The values always seem SO much more crowded than other resorts. On our MK day, the line for the bus was so long, it overflowed past the line for the other park bus. It would have taken an hour just to get on a bus, so we ended up driving. It seemed to us that they should have done a better job of handling situations like that.

If anyone has any questions, I'll be glad to try to answer them :)

We leave a week from today for a week stay in the LK suite! Super excited. My 6 year old daughter and I will be sharing one of the pull out beds as my DH has horrible sleep apnea and refuses to wear his mask so the snoring is unbearable! Regardless, for those of you that have already tried out these two beds, which would you say is more comfortable (especially when sharing with a 6 year old)????? I sleep on a Tempurpedic mattress at home and am contemplating bringing my own foam mattress topper. Have we determined that the pull out beds are in fact Full sized? I have been trying to keep up with these posts since last March and there are just so many I can't quite keep up! Thanks everyone!!!!! :wave2:

I have TONS of questions!! We leave a week from tomorrow for a week stay in the LK suites. We should be able to do online check in today (assuming Disney.com gets their site up and working again) and I am not sure what section to request. We did not do the preferred room, however, looking at the layout, it looks like we would want to request a room in building 10. I believe this is what our travel agent did at the time of booking last January. Do you think that being on a certain floor makes a difference due to noise? I am a very light sleeper and would hate to have kids above me running all hours of the night. Thoughts appreciated! Thanks!!! :)

Hi! We were in Disney last week and stayed in LK with 3 kids. If you have to share a bed, the table bed is most comfy. But are you only traveling with a 6 year old and husband? If so, give her the fold out couch and you sleep on the table bed. : )

We had our 4 year old on a cot we brought in the Master, DH in master bed, DS1 on fold out couch, me in table bed and for DS 2 we made a bed by putting couch cushions together length wise and covering with a sheet, it was actually very firm and comfy, he loved it and we all got great sleep.

As far as noise, I too am a light sleeper and heard NOTHING from rooms upstairs or next door. However the halls are a different story, kids running up halls and yelling and doors slamming woke me several times. Before bed click the fan to on high instead of auto and that drowns out some noise, we also brought noise machines.

Took ME yesterday and it is the first stop. We had LM section and if you have mobility issues this is not the resort for you. You will need a W/C or scooter. There is no mug refill at LM. The QS is fabulous I had the male your own salad and diet coke for $14. The salad was awesome. We did go to HS and bus service was fine. We landed at 1pm bags were just getting to the room at 730pm. The pool though heated were cold. Shop was similar to Pop. Would I stay again. Probably not

Personally, I would request a room not facing the pool area. Music is played at the pool and there is a ton of foot traffic along those pathways. There is a playground behind the pool and then the bridge to the Pop.

We stayed in a Cars suite facing the pool in building one. We could hear music during the day, but it was quiet at night/early morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't have any issues with our 2 year old napping during the day. We loved the location we were in & my son loved saying goodnight & good morning to Mater every day!

We were in the nemo rooms right by big blue and we heard music starting at 7am. I am a light sleeper though and I was sleeping closest to the window in the bedroom. There were a couple times late at night that I could hear people in or by the pool.

If you plan on letting kids take a nap during the day I would definetly request non pool side. :goodvibes
