There's a new report that claims that the new Star Wars Land, which will probably be announced at D23 Expo 2015 later this week, will feature multiple attractions, anchored by a mega E Ticket ride which will employ “a trackless vehicle that will break the mold when it comes to how theme park visitors interact with a ride environment.

Micechat, which has a good reputation for Disneyland rumors, shared the latest on Disneyland’s Star Wars plans. As expected, they are looking at the top side of Disneyland for their upcoming Star Wars Land. Check out these details but take it as grains of salt until Disney confirms

The plan for Star Wars Land has grown immensely in scale, and it’s now aimed squarely at the land north of Disneyland itself. Taking over the Festival Arena, the Circle D Ranch, Mickey’s Toontown and several rehearsal halls and office buildings just north of Toontown. The Circle D property, where all of the park’s horses, goats and other animals are kept will be moving off property to a new facility nearby, and the horses will then be trailered in for their 4 hour shifts pulling the Horse Drawn Streetcars on Main Street.

The rehearsal halls and offices north of Toontown would be moved over to the larger 160,000 square foot office building Disney bought last year at 1515 S. Manchester Avenue, which now houses a dental supply company. That building on Manchester is slated to be phase two of the Pumbaa parking structure, expanding its capacity beyond 8,000+ spaces after the first phase of 5,000 spaces opens in 2018, but in the short term it will become the temporary home of Disneyland’s displaced backstage buildings. The smaller building at 1585 S. Manchester will be demolished for the parking structure construction.

In addition to these details, Micechat reports the rides and attractions for the new Star Wars land are being built in “a top secret Imagineering lab in Glendale with Imagineers signing extra confidentiality agreements because the plotlines and characters are pulled from the next three episodes in the Star Wars saga and the Lucasfilm folks understandably guard that information with their lives.”

Due to the possible spoilery nature of their attractions, we'll probably find out more about Star Wars land after The Force Awakens comes out in theaters. According to the report, Imagineers want to introduce an interactive Cantina experience for the fans.

We'll also see more Star Wars-themed attractions in Tomorrowland this year, with Innoventions reopening planned to open by Veteran’s Day weekend in November with a version of the Star Wars Launch Bayi nteractive museum, which was recently announced for Shanghai Disneyland, plus a specially-produced Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie preview at the Captain EO theater, which will run through January 2016.

According to /Film, there are rumors that Star Tours: The Adventures Continue might add Force Awakens segments to the available trips.

The plan is to keep Star Wars Launch Bay in Innoventions where it will someday become the official Star Wars Land preview center once construction begins.

Fans expected Imagineering to share their Star Wars plans at D23 Expo 2013, but were instead greeted by a tease on the show floor. Disney head Bob Iger promised that Star Wars theme park news would be coming in 2015.

I was reading this earlier. I'm pretty stoked, although having it leaked before this weekend kind of sucks. Still I hope I can get into the parks panel if that's where they announce it.

We have a thread about rumors, where this was mentioned yesterday. http://www.disboards.com/threads/rumor-when-is-toontown-closing.3387996/page-4#post-54221213

MiceChat is hit or miss with rumors. A lot of times their info never comes to fruition, but it's fun to read. These rumors, however, have been floating around for a long time.

A lot of people don't think that Star Wars Land will be announced at this coming Expo, but that other things will be announced.

ETA: I added the Quote block around the text in your post. Whenever we copy and paste the entire text from someone else's website, there should be a quote block along with the link -- either that, or only quote one paragraph of it and then link to the rest of it.

Yeah, since it was a rumor and not an official announcement, I didn't share it after I read it(although I have been in that thread, I guess I didn't see that post).

Got it thanks for the pointers, I really appreciate it.

More lies.

I know I'm going to regret asking this - but since I've seen you on this and the Toontown thread, I have to ask what connection you have to DLR to know this. Is it this particular rumor you have a problem with or Micechat? For the sake of the discussion, it would be nice for you to include something to back up your stance.

FWIW, I believe it's true. Maybe not exactly as laid out, but I think the overall bigger picture/ideas are accurate.

Funny how rumors posted on MiceChat have turned into "leaks." :rolleyes2

I agree with Sherry, who says that MiceChat is hit or miss. To dismiss it as lies, though...? Seems a little extreme.

What I find amusing is this line "a top secret Imagineering lab in Glendale with Imagineers signing extra confidentiality agreements"

They signed "extra" confidentiality agreements and this is already leaking? Maybe they should sign even more agreements because the first few are not working or this is completely made up.

Posters on Micechat discuss rumors of park changes all the time. Frankly, I don't really put much stock in it because it is all just a bunch of speculation until the official announcement comes out from Disney itself.

And we really just have to wait a couple more days until stuff is announced at the D23 expo. When I see a blog post on wdwinfo.com and on the official Disney Parks Blog about this, THEN I'll believe it.

What continues to amaze me is that with all this talk about spending boatloads on an entire new section at DL, there isn't even a mention every anywhere about what to do with the old Rocket Rods track??

More Star Wars? You won't hear any complaints from me!

You know, I'm not a Star Wars fan, but if it will draw people over to a "Star Wars Land", I'm okay with it!

Nope, it'll probably just make the crowds even worse, lol.

Well there is certianly something coming with regards to a new Star wars area but like most others, a rumour is exactly that, a rumour. When disney offically announces something i will get excited, until then it is all just fun reading.

14 acres? Wow, that's huge. According to my google maps tool, thats a little bit bigger than Rivers of America.
