What's Your 20?​

We casually walked around the poly and found our way to the new bungalows. Which they actually look really fun to stay in but I will never be rich enough to stay in one. They’re so classy that you can’t even get on the bridge without a magic band.
​

So instead we have to admire them from afar
​

​

​

The only thing I dislike about them is the nasty florida amoeba water
​

​

It was still toasty out and kiss’s arms were bright red and requesting we go in.
​

And when we went in we found ourselves doing this…
​

​

​

Then I reenacted the last time I hung out at the poly, the day I died from a migraine.
​

​

And then I snapped everything that was new
​

​

​

​

​

We decided (well I decided for us) to go back to dtd. We didn’t have anything to do anyways and I was going to meet up with one of my fellow cps. The whole way there we were talking about didgeridoo guy…aka I call him Didgerdon’t Dominic because he likes to toss guitar picks and passing guests.
​

When we got to DTD it was about 6 (meaning it was break time) so we took a boat over to the west side and walked back to the marketplace.
​

Brandon told me he got trend D so I texted him when we were close. Clearly I forgot all my break times because he just went on break. So we headed over to the Lot A trailer and hung out for a bit. I felt a bit of sadness walking to the breakroom because that us to be my life. We got some weird looks from CMs, pretty much because we were in street clothes but whatever. It was so weird because it was a whole new group of CPs and I didn’t know anyone.
​

We chatted for a bit about life and how sad it is when you have to go home after the DCP. The group of them were figuring out if they wanted to try going to part of the 24 hour day the next day and how I was already going to be there.
​

We didn’t stay to long because I didn’t want to waste all their break. So we left Lot A and headed to Earls for some dinner.
​

​

Tonight there magic band scanner wasn’t working so I had to write down my name, resort and room number so they could charge it to my room. But surprise I was never charged for it. So happy free meal at earls!
​

Before we left back to Movies to call it an early night I had to make a stop at the pin shop to purchase a pin I never got Pa on my CP that I said I would.
​

Once we did get back to Movies we got everything ready for tomorrow so we wouldn’t forget anything so the long day ahead of us.
​

TOMORROW WAS THE DAY! 24 HOURS IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM!

Let The 24 Hour Event Begin!

The joy of the 24 hour event is how long you will actually be awake for. We woke up bright and early at 4 and got ready. We were out of the room by 4:30 and there were probably 3 groups in front of us. More and more people started coming and it was like a bus was never coming. Last years 24 hour Alicia drove us so I had no clue how crowded the busses would be or what time they started.
​

People were starting to get worried that it was after 5 and no bus was in sight. Then I had to laugh when Transtar dropped off CPs because the bus also goes to Blizzard. So when the guests read that they lost it because they thought a blizzard beach bus was running and not a MK. I was DYING!
​

So if anyone goes next year busses start running at 5:15 but get to the bus stop early because the line was forever long. We got to the MK by 5:30 and then it was the fun time of I didn’t get a hard ticket will they take my paper scan ticket Alish printed off for us. Luckily they did and I was forever grateful.
​

We were in and waited for them to let us in!
​

​

​

The morning show started and casey jr was coming down the track. Just a count down from ten was blocking me from entertaining my favorite place.
​

​

At 5:55am we entered the magic kingdom. The CMs were blocking off the pathway near the plaza to the tomorrowland terrance. So everyone was forced to head towards the castle hub area and disperse there.
​

​

​

Anytime I go to the MK in the morning I go straight to tomorrowland and right to Space mountain.
​

​

And it was disserted, I’m assuming everyone ran for mine train
​

​

​

After Space mountain we tried figuring out a game plan for the day. We knew that we wanted to hit every attraction in the magic kingdom. So my plan was hit all the attractions with outside lines in the morning, shows and attractions inside during the hottest part of the day and complete the rest at night.
​

Prior to this trip I cheated the Disney fastpass+ system. I knew going into this that we probably wouldn’t be able to get fastpasses ahead of time because we didn’t have a hard ticket to link to our account. But alas I found a loop hole to our problem. For some reason (and a good reason for me) I can still get fastpasses with my main gate that’s linked to my magic bands and it also works with Alicia’s magic bands that were left at home when she left for Japan. So for this day Kiss just had to carry around one of Alicia’s magic bands.
​

Now if this day wasn’t blocked out for CMs I would have been able to also connect my 3 guest passes as well, having multiple rides for us.
​

So I was able to snag us mine train, splash and thunder fastpasses.
​

The next attraction was speedway, that’s one line I do not want to wait in when the sun is out.
​

​

​

​

And even before 6:30am we were able to travel to space and back, and complete a race. We are very productive people for not being a morning person.
​

​

​

After we didn’t really know what to do next. We didn’t want to burn out so quickly into the day but the crowds were so perfect, so why not run around the whole park before 7am? ​

So I suggested jungle cruise since that line can also get a good wait time during the day. ​

As we passed the mine train I found where everyone was, in that line, which was already outside of the long queue line.
​

All at once everything is different, now that I see you
​

​

TIP: Although it’s an early wake up call it is so worth getting to MK when it first opens. More people choose to go late and stay till the end.
​

​

By this time we already broke our plan and went on pirates. But it was only a 5 minute wait. By the time we actually got to the ride we met this hilarious CM who was just dancing all around. She made us do the “hold the boat” dance with her as we got to our number.
​

After pirates we finally headed to the world’d famous jungle cruise
​

​

Our skipper was throwing out some jokes that are rarely never used. For example one was about gingersnap. He used the usual “Watch out ginger snaps” but also talked about how it was Ginger’s birthday and how he got her a CROC-POT…hilarious!
​

​

On the bottom, there's Ahontis. Looks like the Rhino is trying to poke Ahontis.
​

​

And now, probably the most dangerous part of our journey- the return to civilization

Welcome! That mind crosses my mind from time to time. I would love to work for the company again, I loved everything about the DCP and my time working down there. I've also talked about moving down when Alicia moves back from Japan. However part of me enjoys where I am now, although most days I wish I was in Florida. But if for some reason I find myself having an opportunity to go back I would in a heartbeat.

Greatest Attraction: Hub Grass

With completing so much during the first hour it was time to see what we could get done in hour 2.
Next up an attraction that has become more to me than I ever thought it could, the sister ride, the magic carpets. And this was the start of missing Alish around because clearly I would meet her here after work or we would get a fastpass for it every time we went to the kingdom.
​

​

However this time it would be considered the sibling ride. And another magic carpet ride that I wasn’t able to make it bounce. ​

But really I’m in search of someone who can properly bounce these carpets because I have failed miserably about a hundred times.
​

​

​

Next up was the thing I was looking forward to experiencing, the hub grass. It’s quite the popular attraction. But at this time of the morning it was still dewy, so maybe later.
​

​

​

​

We headed back to fantasyland because our fp for mine train was almost ready. But while we waited we decided to go hang out in the hundred acre woods.
​

​

Finally our time opened up and it was time to not wait in the forever long wait for mine train. Just Kidding! We got stopped because the Disney Channel stars had to go on, so they cut off the fastpass line for a good amount of time.
​

​

But have no fear we finally got on in no time
​

​

After we headed back to tomorrowland to wait for astro orbiter. This is one of those attractions I hardly go on, I’ve probably only been on it a handful of times. We got our pass and waited to go up in what I remember to be a sketchy elevator (but it wasn’t at all)
​

​

​

One thing I do not remember is the dizzy feeling you get. Thankfully I don’t get sick from that because that could have been bad.
​

Since we were in tomorrowland we decided to get Buzz lightyear spin done.
​

​

I completely failed at trying to get a picture of our scores together. But I doubled Kiss’s score, not yet a galactic hero but one day I will be
​

​

It wasn’t yet 9 and I knew I wanted to go to Agrabah. The only character sets I know are Aladdin and Jasmine, for obvious reasons, like me going Friday mornings throughout my dcp.
​

But before we headed over there (since their set wasn’t until 9:30) we stopped back at the hub. This cool new hangout is actually perfect and I now can understand everyone’s weird obsession with it.
​

One thing I do not remember is the dizzy feeling you get.

I agree. You first have to wait in the line downstairs and then another upstairs.

Reunited In Agrabah

We were the second group in agrabah because we don’t play around. Also I didn’t wait to wait longer then I had too. By this time it was about 10pm in Japan so of course Alish told me to go to Agrabah and she was giving me all the deets about what was going down. For example it was suppose to be a big surprise that the Genie would be out with them for the last 15 minutes of each set (however I wouldn't be meeting him this time)

When they actually opened the line the character attendant noticed me right away and said “Hey I know you” and at the moment I said no clue who she was. Then it came back to me, Sloan! The lovely attendant who is good friends with Alish and was there for my last time at the marketplace with alish.
While in line we met fellow disboards members, Grace and her mom Donna. Grace was just finishing her DCP and I could totally relate to all the emotions she was feeling.


Finally Aladdin and Jasmine arrived. When it was our turn I almost died when Aladdin called KC, Kiss.


Truth: Aladdin and I did all the talking, Jasmine probs felt left out with all the excitement of being reunited. The first thing Aladdin said to me was “Aren’t you suppose to be up north” Thanks for keeping track of my life.

I tried facetiming alish (on her request) but that bum wouldn’t answer. Aladdin was clearly unimpressed, so I made him and Jasmine make a video for her.

Kiss refused to be any part of the meet and greet and said he would just take pictures

Aladdin wouldn’t have any of that, “Kiss get in the photo!”

And although I took all my time and even more some, I had to take one quick selfie before leaving.

Once we actually left Agrabah we headed over to dine with a beast. This was a big deal for kiss, for as many times he has been to the magic kingdom since be our guest opened he had yet to be inside it. Me, being the best sister ever (and a miracle to snag a reservation so close to our trip) he was finally going to experience some magic.

I’ve only experienced lunch here and I’ve become obsessed with it. This time around however we would be trying out the new breakfast they are doing. One thing I personally enjoyed is being able to order ahead of time. For some people I can understand how it might not work because you won’t know what you’re in the mood to eat, but I am completely different.
You get an email about a month out saying you can pre-order your food. A month out?! That’s crazy! But not to fear you can always switch it. I also want to say that a couple days before your reservation you will get another chance to make sure it is what you want.


The main reason I like this so much is because you bypass the whole line. Once you check in with a CM outside you are then told to head to the left and meet another CM who scans your band, gets your order and pay. Easy peasy, plus there was no one in that line when we got there.
Just like lunch you pick where you sit. I let Kiss choose because it was his first time. We walked into the West Wing, packed. So we got a seat in the ballroom by the window.
Within minutes of finding our table, our food was ready to be chowed down.

Kiss got the open face bacon and egg sandwich, a pretty fancy meal

I went with the winning plate, croissant doughnut

Along with your main dish you also get a Danish dish to share. Be prepared to be a fatty.

I was definitely impressed with the breakfast and would go back again.

Since we were in “new” fantasyland we decided to let our stomachs digest while we took an adventure under the sea. Cause you needs to wait 30 minutes before swimming?!

This is such a great story about how Ariel became a human.

Once coming back to dry land we headed over to storybook circus

more and more people were entering the park and we just decided to take a break from jumping to each attraction. So we took a load off at the circus tent, were we could relax and charge our phones.

Tip: your phone battery will seem like it dies very quickly on the 24 hour event. I brought a mophie (any portable charger will work) and used some outlets here and there as we rested.

And You Will Become Part Of The Magic​

Step right up and come meet your circus pals!

So much fun awaits!

We chose to meet the boys and I’m so glad we did because there was no line whatsoever. The girls however were super popular and the line showed.

Goofy asked if I’ve been kissing a lot of frogs

“I would kiss a hundred frogs if I could marry a prince and be a princess!”

Up next Donald!

I was literally DYING form laughing so much. Donald was distant from kiss, for the obvious reasons, for being the shadow man. I couldn’t really blame Donald. But then Kiss told him how they were in similar businesses. Donald reaction was perfect. He did not agree at all!

It was almost time for the first showing of Festival of Fantasy. So instead of walking all the way back to frontierland we decided to catch the train.

I thought we would be early enough to find a shady spot to sit for the parade. But apparently that was everyone else’s plan as well. But all was ok because my favorite spot wasn’t taken. What’s my favorite spot? Well in frontierland I enjoy standing at the DVC booth on the fake wooden bridge. It’s perfect because no one can stand in front of you and when I’m trying to take classy pics, I can get almost a front view because the parade route starts to turn.

Bonus, it also is a nice camera holder

If this is the first trip report of mine you are reading, just a heads up I’m OBSESSED with festival of fantasy. It was my go to thing on my days off during my DCP. Some starbucks and FoF got me through some non happy times.

That being said, I will get super excited when the trumpets blow at the beginning, I will sing a long, I will get sad when it ends, and I will pretend to be a strutting banner carrying cha cha girl.


Dreams will come true, hearts will soar and you will become a part of the magic.

My Favorite Land In All The Kingdom

When festival of fantasy ended we explored my favorite land in the kingdom, FRONTIERLAND!
first we headed over to splash mountain to use our fastpass and it couldn’t come at a better time because it was getting hotter by the second

CHICK-A-PIN FALLS!

Home sweet home is the lesson today

After splash we headed over to Tom Sawyers Island. Kiss was not that excited about the idea but its an “attraction” so we had to go.

Every time I play in the caves I will always think about the time Pa would run ahead and scare us. But really its pretty dark and something could get you at any twist or turn.

And by this hour, I believe 7, Kiss was over carrying around his short cane.
So what better way to get rid of a cane by hiding it in a cave on tom sawyers island

In the caves we kept running into huge groups of kids, which I assumed were on some sort of field trip because there was a few adults to a group of kids doing a scavenger hunt.
After the caves it was time for the barrel bridge

As we finished going across the bridge another group was going the opposite way. Wrong way! the bridge is a one way bridge but that didn’t stop them nor did the sign. You do you.

Tom Sawyer’s Island brings you a beautiful view of the Riverboat

We found some hooligan who decided to carve their name in the fence, which kiss then said how he went to school with a kid with the same name.

We then headed over to the other side of the island to the fort.
But first follow that boat!

We finally made it to fort langhorn and surprisingly there was a lot of people playing today. So we really didn’t spend much time “exploring” before we headed back to catch a raft back to frontierland.

Once arriving back to frontierland we still had a couple minutes until we could use our fastpasses for thunder so we headed to the splash store to get some AC. On our way there we passed a Disney channel star who looked very high maintenance and I only say this because she had a group of people with her but some poor guy was walking behind her with an umbrella to block the sun for her.

Before we got on thunder I found this beauty and had a good laugh. (But now I’m even more happy now that they are banned from all parks

I was so excited about Thunder Mountain, that my mood sunk when we got placed in the first car. Everyone knows how lame it is and by the time we got placed I had no time to ask the CM if we could sit in the back because she was in beast mode trying to get the crowds moving.
So Goat Effect was a bust but the group in front of us broke the disney law and used their selfie stick. So I hope they got all my yelling at them as well as dancing behind them.

It was hitting the hottest part of the day so it was time to find some AC, off to COUNTRY BEARS we go! It was probably the most packed I have ever seen the theater be.

If I had to choose, Big Al would probably have to be my favorite bear

After the bears we were in need of a cool snack and what better than a dole whip float?!
Plus with Aloha isle switching places with sunshine terrence, we just had to walk around the corner to get our delicious treat. This was Kiss’s first dole whip ever! Like what? He liked it but said he would just get the soft serve by itself and not a float.

We ended up taking our floats to Pecos because we could relax and get AC.
