I would like to join a FISH Extender. First time on the cruise and would like to make this enjoyable and memorable for our 9 year old son. Please let me know how this works.

Super excited for my family's first cruise. It will be my husband and I and our 7 year old son and 21 month old daughter as well as my sister in law and her husband with her 10 and 12 year old girls. Just wondering if the fish extender ever got started.

Trying to decide if we'll stay at the Houston airport hotel, or go on down to the port the night before.

My DS (10) and I go to Galveston pretty often. There are some great hotels along the seawall that are reasonably priced. We recently stayed at the Doubletree on Seawall Blvd--it was a nice room and would be a short drive to the port.
