Disney Wonder August 22 2016 California Coast Cruise!

Hello! I haven't been able to find another meet up thread so here it is!

I'm super excited for this. First cruise we are taking that we are able to drive to.

We are doing this back to back with the Panama cruise but I'm really looking forward to visiting Victoria and enjoying the sea days along the coast!

In our party it will be me, my mom, and my four kiddos (all ages at sailing) P(9boy) C(7girl) E(5boy)and A(4girl). We got great rooms on deck seven (first time that high up!) My kids are already talking about it and its soooo far away.

So who out there is joining us?

I'm excited to find this forum. I think I'm driving my husband crazy obsessing over every little detail for a cruise that is over a year away.

I'll be traveling with DH, DD (4 at time of cruise) and DS (18 mos.)

I jumped on the chance to book this one since it is still when my kids are out of school (well, DS anyway). We won't know until next Spring where DD will be going to college so she may not be joining us on this one or we will have to cancel it completely. But I've got my fingers crossed that it will work. My kids have been wanting to go back and spend more time in Vancouver since last year when we were there for the Alaska cruise. So we are hoping to combine a few days in Vancouver then take this cruise back home.

DH and I did this cruise in 2011 and met some wonderful people, some of whom we still keep in touch with and will be cruising with us.

I am also doing the repo cruise this year with my Mom and Sister. I would love to do a b2b with Panama, but was just informed that we have a large convention coming in at work, and no time off will be granted for the same dates as the Panama cruise

Hi everyone!

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread and just share a pdf document through a private conversation confidentially with just those who want to join in!

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine managing meet and Fish Extender discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is completely up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM (conversation).

This will be our 3d Disney Cruise. We are taking the boat home to California after a week aboard the Celebrity Infinity to Alaska. We had originally booked the Wonder the week before but was able to switch to Celebrity, upgrade significantly and book the trip home on the Wonder for less than what DCL was charging to see Alaska. Longer vacation & get my Disny-fix....works for me! Looking forward to a very laid back cruise to simply recharge a bit before we get home. Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all......

We did this same cruise as our honeymoon, so we're excited to be doing the same cruise for our anniversary, and getting to meet some new people as well as reconnect with some friends we made while on that cruise!

Hi there! Joining in on the fun is myself, DH and DS who will be 14. This is not only our first Disney cruise, but our first cruise ever I was so happy to find this cruise in August... I can't justify taking DS out of school any longer so the timing was perfect!

DH is looking forward to a relaxing vacation without having to drive anywhere... or get up early for "rope drop" lol. DS is looking forward to checking out Vibe... hopefully there are a few teens onboard! I'm just happy to be in the Disney bubble... major Disneyland fan girl here

Since we call Vancouver Island home we will stay onboard in Victoria... more time to explore the ship! But for those of you that have never been to Victoria, it is a beautiful city and well worth getting off the ship for.

We are also looking forward to spending a few days in San Diego before flying home!

We used to live in ladysmith, up island from you. Is there a liquor store or beer and wine close to the port, so we can start stock piling for the Panama part, since there are only a few stops
