Disney Stores Recall Pajamas
WASHINGTON (April 17) - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday issued a voluntary recall of Baby Einstein Caterpillar Sleepwear and Baby Einstein Duck Sleepwear sold at Disney Stores North America, a unit of Children's Place Retail Stores Inc.
The sleepwear fails to meet the children's flammability standard, posing a risk of burn injury to children.
Only sleepwear in sizes 12 months and 18 months are included in the recall.
The pajamas were sold at Disney Stores nationwide in April 2006 and May 2006 for about $20.
Consumers should stop using the sleepwear and return it to the Disney Store for a refund.
Shares of Children's Place shed 26 cents to $49.80 in morning trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market, after hitting a new 52-week low of $49.65 earlier. In the past year, the stock had ranged between $49.95 and $71.81.
