I'm tempted to get back in shape and celebrate my b-day in Disney by entering the 10K Race for the Taste which takes place during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. (How much fun should that be!) :goodvibes Does anyone know of any discussion boards out there about Disney races? Haven't been able to find one and know that would be the best way to find out more.
    Tks!

Hi I am also planning on doing the Race for the Taste. Join us over on the W.I.S.H. board then on top one of the groups is Events/Competions and in there you will find a weekly walking/running group that keeps everyone updated on their training and what they are training for. I just did my very first 5k today and I feel good and plan on training more for another 5k the end of May. Hopefully I will be able to do the 6.2 miles needed for the 10K!! Hope to see you on the W.I.S.H. board soon.

    Hi Folks,
DW and I are thinking about doing the Race for the Taste, too.
We'll be at WDW 10/4-10/14 and it would fit perfectly into our plans. We wouldn't have to do any special training for it as we run about 40-50K per week anyway. The only thing which bothers me is the heat/humidity, but as we will arrive in Florida on 09/23 there should be sufficient time to adapt to it.
What times are you aiming for? We'd try to do it in 50 minutes or less. My best on 10K is 42 minutes, but I guess the Florida climate will cost me some time and I also want to run it with DW together, who's a bit slower than me ;)
