I received an email yesterday about Disney Mobile becoming available in June.

Has anyone else heard anything about it?

I can't find a link to the costs or anything else associated with it.

Here is the link I have visited before. Not much info, but you can enter a contest to win two handsets and(I think) free service for a year.

    Disney Mobile

You can also sign up to receive future info from Disney Mobile :)

I also don't know and was wondering the same thing.

I think they are trying to build the hype before they stick us with the bottom line costs.

Did you read the "article" in Disney Insider...it said you would give your kids a "budget" for downloads, text messaging, etc which makes it sound like family plans will be a fixed cost and then you have to add a "prepay" each month onto your kids phones for the budget items. I'm thinking it ain't going to be the cheapest plan out there.

Frankly, I'm a little disappointed in the Disney Mobile as a whole. I remember when I got the test market info last year and questions and I thought it would really be something new and fun and very Disney...I see, though, that it is a standard cheap phone, with basic cheap features.

I don't think I can see my family switching companies for this.

I finally found some kind of article. Gives a little more detail like the network provider, cost of a phone with 2 year contract.

DH wouldn't switch unless it had the nextel feature (it states sprint network so I'm not sure if it will have walkie/talkie). Then again, DH probably wouldn't want a disney phone so I could get one just for DD and myself.
