I keep hearing the tail end of a radio commercial saying you can do Disney for as low as fifty-eight dollars per day. Has anyone else heard this? If so, what website is it on?

I believe it is that standard commercial for 2 adults, 1 jr , 1 child at select (read value) during select (value) seasons. This would be room and tix only.

Sure per person, total of four persons staying in a value room (during value season) with my way tickets, no hopper option, no plusses. Your "people configuration" also needs to be two adults and two children under 10. No food, just room and tickets.

Hmmm...we do WDW pretty cheaply, but I don't know if we've done it for $58 a day. We've come close, and that includes food, lodging, and tickets. We're 2 adults. We always stay offsite, though, and have never paid more than $50 a night for lodging, $40 a day for food, and around $70 a day for tickets (for both of us), give or take a few dollars here and there. Our rental car is never more than $20 a day, if you want to figure that in, and our airfare depends on what deal we can get. Usually around $200 PP unless there's an amazing deal somewhere.

we have a trip booked for 8 nights at POP, 9 day basic tickets for the end of may (not the value season).

if you divide our total by 8 (the # of days) and then by 4 (the # of people) it works out to about $55. so i would say this is accurate.

of course that's only for the room and tickets, not the total vacation costs.

Two adults, 2 small kids, 10 days of tickets and 10 days at POP is $1800, so that is more like $45 PP PD. Disney doesn't have to be expensive (I sound like a commercial!).

Thats about what our next vacation is running us for room & tickets. We're going in high season.
ETA I just did the math on mine & it's actually $65 pp per day w/ hoppers.

We have annual passes, but we bought them last year. I always buy them and then we go a week or so earlier the next year, and get two years of trips out of them. We are going in a few days from the 27th of Jan until the 1st of Feb. 5 nights at ASMO with the Disney Dining Plan and a one day ticket to sell when we get back since we won't use them at all. So the toal cost with tickets, food, hotel, sounveniors, and gas is $990 divide that by 3 people Me DS7 and DS6, and it is $55 per person per day. Of course, the look on my kids faces when I tell them that they still have to do homework so they don't fall behind in school is priceless! :rotfl:
