Our servers showing their best side (so they said) - this place is a riot
Missing the eggs - I wasn't too on the ball with pictures this year
Captains Grille at the Yacht Club Breakfast buffet
Alright, just back and have many, many food porn pics to unload. My sisters are so used to my weird camera behavior now, they just hand me the camera at each meal, no questions asked!
Whispering Canyon Cafe, lunch:
Chicken corn chowder (not sure if this is the correct name or not. My sis said it was great!)
Salad, very good though nothing real special
Salsa Con Queso, super good!
All three of us had the pork barbeque. I loved it, my sisters wished they had ordered the skillet. The key was to drench it in the extra sauce they give you!
Smores Cheesecake; yum yum
My favorite, the apple pie!
Wolfgang Puck Express
The Pepperoni minus the mushrooms for my sister
The Meatball pizza. It was delicious!
From our trip last week.....starting off with the F & W Festival....and yes....we ate this all in one day!
This is what we looked like before starting our day.....I won't show you the "after" picture!
Rock Shrimp Ceviche....loved it! Had a nice kick to it.
Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup....awesome stuff....just too little of it.
Kerrygold Cheese Selection and Lobster & Scallop Fisherman's Pie.....I liked the chutney and one of the cheeses. I'm not a cheezewiz so I couldn't tell you the name of it, but it is the one on the front of the plate. DW loved all the cheeses and chutney. The FP was great!!! We both took a bite and immediately looked at each other and gave "the eye"
Escargot.....first time we've had them. I thought it tasted good yet a little dry. The tiny breadbowls made the dish.
Spicy Tuna Roll....ehhh. We like sushi so we ate this. We've had similar at our local grocery stores. Hey....they make it look really good in the stores, yet you know it's not the same. Sometimes you just can't resist.
Taste of Spain.....yum! We don't care for olives but I ate them anyway. I'm thinking being at Disney made them taste better. We really enjoyed this.
Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Puree.....pleasantly surprised. DW's piece was rarer than mine and was really nice. The potato puree and mango sauce were wonderful.
still more from the same day.....
Lobster Roll....ummmm.....ok. It looks like it's on half a hotdog bun but trust me....it's not. It's the most expensive thing on the menus. It tasted OK but not $7.50 OK. The Sam Adams Cherry Wheat was quite refreshing.
Lamb Chop....ummmm...no. I'm not a fan of lamb so I was a bit biased. DW loves it and was quite underwhelmed. Way too fatty. She enjoyed the sauce.
Mealie Soup.....yum. Very nice with a good kick from the chili oil.
Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Pureé.....one of our favorites!
Potato and Onion-filled pastry, Sambal......mmmmmmmmm......spicy! DW didn't care for the spice....mmmmmm.....more for me.
And then on the same day we decided to check out La Cava del Tequila....
Bluecrab Tostadas.....YUM X 2!!
OK....i'm pretty sure that covered October 21st.
Paradiso 37...they must have a new menu than what's posted on other sites. This is listed as two seperate apps but it was a offered as a combo when we visited last week. I believe it was $15.95. It was delicious and well worth the money. Easily enough to share.
Argentinean Chorizo Skewers - Authentically prepared Chorizo sausage seasoned with Argentinean spices $10.99
Peruvian Beef Skewers - grilled skirt steak served with mushroom Ceviche and Chimichurri pita bread $10.99
Mac & Cheese Bites - Fried crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, served with a jalapeno and cilantro dipping sauce $7.50...ehhh. They were cooked perfectly....crunchy on the outside and ooey gooey on the inside. Unfortunately, they were as bland as bland can get. With some spices mixed in this could be really good. We just broke them in half and salted them....ehh.
Wolfgang Puck Cafe....Sushi Bar. Overall, pretty good. We've had better on Disney property but it hit the spot this night.
Deluxe Crab Roll....$16.95 / Big Kahuna Roll...$13.95 / Broiled Eel Roll...$12.95
Yak and Yeti.....AWESOME!!! We had a trio of apps for lunch and all of them were excellent. I'd read negative reviews but decided to give it a chance....glad we did!! We even ended up with an upstairs window seat.
Lettuce Cups - minced chicken breast, chopped vegetables, maple tamarind sauce, crisp lettuce cups $12.99
Pork Egg Rolls - chili plum dipping sauce $7.99
