Weather can affect Disney Dream Castaway

If you want to see something that will REALLY confuse you as to whether it could possibly be real/troll, check out this review I found last night:

Just finished reading this and all I can say is WOW! Wasn't sure if I could get through reading one more line about froot loops, apple juice and dippers. And who the heck is Mini Mouse LOL This person obviously didn't do any of their research and felt entitled.

Now you have done it, I say we do a poll, is The Doctor real or not. I vote, he totally has to be, and Fezes (not sure how to pluralize that) are also cool!

The Doctor is Real.... Blasphemy to say otherwise ;) I met 11 in person and my kids hugged him. Pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating!
And as a proud momma to 2 adorable Fez wearers... Yes, Fezzes (?) are cool!

My daughter and I met Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy at Denver Comic Con last year. It was a highlight for both of us. Colin Baker and Paul McGann were supposed to be there this year, but both have had to back out. :(

This is the review that the last 5 pages of this thread are talking about. ;)

Ah see 10 and 12 are our favorites. 10 is the one I really fell in love with the show during and David Tennant is just amazing... I have loved just about everything I have ever seen him do. My husband likes 12 becasue he is a bit of a sarcastic ... hmm how to make this disney friendly... donkey's backside? (Which is very much like my DH)

11 wasn't bad... I think the issue isn't really with him but that most of his story lines were everything I hate about some time travel tv shows and episodes. I hate ones where the entire thing ends up not having happened and isn't real. Like 11s entire first season.

That review was the best!

So it seems I'm not the only one that likes to go to trip advisor and read all the 1 star reviews for places just for the laughs.[/QUOTE]
I only read the 1 star reviews. I particularly like it when they don't use paragraph breaks.

It depends on what I'm there for. But generally I read the latest reviews if I really want a review of a place I am thinking about going to. I then read the one stars to see if there are any legitimate complaints or if they are all just there to entertain me. Most of the time... its entertainment!

I read a review of Disneyland the other day...too many kids in strollers, too many adults on scooters (make 'em walk, it's healthier) they sold junk food and there were lines for the rides. Reviewer thought it was horrible and said some stuff about how Disneyland is bad for Americans. has she done the cruise.

I'm old enough that 4 was my favorite but of the new ones I was partial to 9.

10 is my favorite but after meeting Matt and Karen and seeing how they are together IRL I now have a soft spot for Matt. And Karen held my daughter's hand like they were besties. Honestly though, I love them all for different reasons. It's hard to choose one to love the most!

We just completed our 10th cruise and have missed CC twice. And we almost missed CC this past Sunday, too.

Personally I'd rather the Captain make the call to bypass CC in exchange for the safety of passengers, crew members, and the ship.

I wonder what the record is for missing Castaway Cay, I remember a family was on our cruise a couple of years back that had been 0/3...never made it to CC in 3 cruises due to weather..they finally made it on our cruise :) so I guess they were 1/4 :) They had a great attitude about it :) The ever elusive Castaway Cay! :)

I would love to have shadowed them to see their excitement! Imagine anticipating sonething that long!

A few years ago a member here tracked missed CC cruises for years and posted. They had years worth of statistics where they broke down by month and year all the CC misses. It was pretty thorough.

I notice it last night. I think it needs to be edited further. "Cruise ships sometimes must make changes in itinerary due to weather or emergencies... Duh!"

When my brother in law had a massive heart attack on the Fantasy a couple of years ago, the ship had to change course to get him within tender distance to Cozumel. They missed their stop at Costa Maya entirely because of this. I hope people weren't abusing CMs because of it!
