Disney Dream - October 24, 2016 (4-night Bahamian)

This Fish Extender group is closed as of September 24, 2016. The final group lists and maps have been included as attached files with this post.

Participants who have signed up are expected to share gifts only within the group they are assigned (#1 or #2). Each cabin will provide at least one gift to the other cabins during the cruise. You are welcome to gift each individual, or gift more than once on different days, and make this experience as magical as you want! This way we can accommodate everyone with different budgets, available time, and luggage space. It will be wonderful no matter how you contribute. You may also choose to pixie dust other groups.

OK, I recently posted this answer on another thread:
Quick course in Fish Extenders:

Outside your room onboard is a message holder, in most cases it's shaped like a fish:


Once a cruise meet thread is up an running, someone in the group will (should?) step up and say "I'll maintain the Fish Extender exchange list". That person is the center point for all those who want to participate in the exchange. The list can be as simple as DISnames/room number/number of guests or as involved as full names/room number/ages of guests/like & dislikes/allergies/favorite characters/whatever is deemed necessary to know to put together the gifts.

Then each room on the FE list (note this will not be everyone on the Cruise Meet thread for your specific cruise), makes a Fish Extender holder. This is basically an organizer-type hanging bag with separate pockets for each person in the room:


They also make up gifts (either individual gifts or room gifts - whatever is decided by your group) to be delivered during the cruise.

One note about the gifts, some groups set up specific delivery dates, and specify "each person gets a gift" or "only one gift per room" or (even) maximum/minimum price ranges for gifts. Other groups just say "whatever", so people can choose what/how many gifts to give. Some give individual gifts, others only one gift per room, while others might do one for the adults and separate gifts for kids. Or only gift the kids.

I'm open to what others in this group want to do! (I'm sure as others join they will be commenting.)

Based on the majority of things I've read about other Fish Extender group experiences, and to make things easy to organize, I'm suggesting that the only expectation for participation is to provide one gift per cabin and have no dollar minimum. Any participant is very welcome to give more gifts or make them really special (go wild!) if they want to. It will be great, large or small! This way we can accommodate everyone with different budgets, available time, and luggage space.

I've already started keeping an eye out for FE gifts and have found kids' items so I know I'll be doing those for sure... now just looking for either a cabin or adult idea.

Let me know if you'd like me to add you to the FE group.

Thanks for letting me know! I can understand if there are other FEs started on different sites but I didn't find any when I initiated this thread (so hard to search for these things!). Since this FE group is the only one indexed by the DIS board, I'm hoping that enough people will find their way here to complete this particular FE group. There's still plenty of time to grow!

(And members of other FE groups can always join here as well, if they are interested in more people to exchange with.)
