Hi everyone,

From reading other threads it appears that there is quite a bit of interest among our group in this forum in attending several upcoming DISMeets - specifically the big 10th anniversary meet in July, but also the Hershey and other GKTW meets. There has also been some talk about trying to have gathering or other group events. Given that, I thought it would be useful to track who is attending what, where they are staying, etc. .... this might also encourage others to attend knowing that people they "know" from here will be there.

Idea is if you want to post here or send me a message with your info and then I can keep the first post updated.

I still need to plan for Hershey. I know I am taking 2 weeks off to do this, so I will need to see how work goes. We live about two hours from Hershey so a day trip may be in the picture, but it must include chocolate world.

I can't drive to Hershey without stopping at Shady Maple so food won't be an issue, but beer is always on my to do list.

Our last trip there was for a Zac Brown concert so we didn't even go to the park. I don't know if my wife will make the trek without rollercoasters

If you drive down the road from the stadium towards the park, go past the park and you will get to an outlet mall, and then right past the outlet mall is Treogg's ... so really close

My wife and I are booked at BWV 22 - 26 July and are eagerly awaiting the release of the DIS schedule. We have already booked some back up dining plans for each night as well as Scuba Diving at DiveQuest for Saturday. We love DiveQuest so much we might even miss out on a DIS meet if that conflicts. Hopefully we'll have some updated info with todays PodCast.

We (Me, DW, and DD) will be at the 10th. Not sure where we are staying yet. We're up for whatever. DD may not hang with us much but DW and I are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

All 3 of us will also be at the Hershey meet for the full weekend.

Myself and my friend Jenn will be at AKV Jambo from 7/21 - 7/27.

Will also be at the Hershey Meet, and plan on going to the Friday night meet up, the main event, and to Troegs.

My husband (Ricky) and I will also be at all 3 Hershey events and are staying at the Hershey Lodge. We will be at the Mega Meet and probably many of the smaller events that might happen. We are staying at the Contemporary from 7/22-7/31.

I wish we could do more, but as it is, I had the hardest time convincing DH to do the mega meet in July. It's not that he doesn't want to go, but he's just gung-ho on getting this house ready for sale and he doesn't "NEED" trips and vacations quite the way I do. And by need...I mean I will go crazy at work if I don't get out of town for a bit now and then. We had actually talked about the Hershey meet since I haven't been around that area since I was a kid, but it's going to have to wait for another year. I want so badly to book the Contemporary or BWI for the mega meet as they are my two faves and the prices are outstanding, but cutting back was part of twisting DH's arm.

We're currently booked at PORS from 7/22-7/26 and my parents (not on the boards) will also be driving up from south FL to meet us.

So, we're just going to keep our fingers crossed that the home stuff I need to cover between now and May doesn't go haywire and kill the budget....because I NEED this!

Definitely not dumb! I too am rather shy and I am rather introverted so I pretty much had to force myself to go up and speak to other guests and, especially, some of the Podcast members at the Hershey meet. But I am glad when I have - had a really good conversation with Ryno last year
