We made a dining rotation request. Is it still possible to request a server or is that too much to ask for? My mom is much more set on the specific dining rotation, so if we request a server would that possibly mess up our rotation request?

    I just get so confused!

Yes...the servers are assigned to teams, and it would be pure luck if the server you want is on the team that your mother wants. Every time we have submitted more than one request--even noted first choice, second choice--they have messed it up.

My suggestion is to request a rotation. THen after you board, go to "dining changes" and ask whether your preferred server is on that rotation. If so, ask if you can change to that server. If not, you'll have what was most important to you.

We were told it was best to request one or the other, but not try to do both. The approach that kcashner recommends is the one we do. Pick the preferred rotation based on the cruise schedule, and then see if any of our former servers are on that rotation once we're onboard.
