Ding Me !!!

    Im soooo excited....I just booked a ding fare for october from new york to orlando for $50 each way.This is my first time flying with southwest.Question is...can you pick seats before you get to the airport? I cant find any info on the website.Also do they change flight times alot? I hope I didnt make a mistake by booking them.PLEASE....reassure me guys :grouphug:

    Good news is they rarely change flight times or cancel for that matter.

    However, it is open seating. Meaning you get your seats as you board the plane. First come first served. I've never had a problem with this. However, some folks have.

    When you check in (either at home or at the airport) you will receive a boarding pass with an A B or C. You board in that order depending on what type pass you have.

    There are some preboarders allowed. Those w/ disabilities and those w/ toddlers and infants. They are supposedly becoming more strict w/ preboarding. I haven't flown w/ them since the fall so I don't know for sure.

    wow..great fare! I just got Dinged with $65 from ISP to MCO. I would have booked in a second if I got $50! You cannot pick your seats with SW...they board in four groups: Handicapped and adults traveling w/ children under 4 first. Then groups A, B and C. You can print your boarding passes online anytime after 12:01 a.m. the day of your flight (the earlier you print the better chance of getting an A boarding pass).

    I fly SW all the time and have never had a flight time changed, so don't worry about that. :)

    nydisneymom....my ding also said $65 each way so i started to book it and it came up for my dates $50.55 each way so I booked it.I can live with that rate! Date was oct 4th-oct 15th. :cool1: :cool1:

    Okay...can ya'll give me a bit more info about the SW DING thing? I've never downloaded it...DH has a major freak out when things are downloaded on the computers...so exactly what does DING do for you? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

    I can't have ding at work, we have windows 2000 but we fly out of albany and we are waiting for a good fare from ding. Should I hurry home??? :teeth:
