We just got our statement from the bank, and it looks like our Annual Dues went up about $50 from December to now. I don't remember any notice about an increase, but it doesn't mean we didn't get one. I've been sick for two weeks with bronchitis and my head's been amazingly fuzzy.

Has dues gone up?

2005 Property taxes were underestimated when they were withheld. Login one to the DVC site and check the area under my dvc. You will see the additional amount for 2005, and what you can expect your new monthly rates to be for 2006.

I think it was early November when you should have received a small pamphlet that had the proposed budget (sent before the annual meetings). In late December, you should have received your actual billing statement in the mail.

The January payment, as mentioned, will include the difference in taxes owed. The rest of the payments for the year will be evenly divided.

We received an announcement in the mail last fall. I think it was around Thanksgiving.

Yes, and unfortunatetly like taxes and dues everywhere else they never seem to go down or stay the same. :guilty:

Would you expect them to? Aren't the costs of keeping up your house going up too? Actually, for the first couple of years we owned, our OKW dues DID stay the same and actually go down a couple of times!

Yes, dues did go up this year. DVC sent a notice out late last year that explained exactly what the various components of your dues were. They do this every year so its easy to compare from one to the other.

Without knowing how many points you have or which resort you own, its hard to be specific as to your $50 increase.
