We got our magicbands in today for our end of August trip.

Here is DS's(4) since he is Autistic semi verbal I added one of those temporary tattoos to his band (he'll have one on his arm too). Picked the frog prince for "Disney's Princesses and the Frog". I cut the tattoo to fit within the color section of the band. I then put a coat of clear nail polish right under where I planned to put the tattoo. I let it slightly dry before applying the tattoo so to lock it in place so it won't peel. I didn't put a clear coat over it cause on test trials the phone number and such smeared so I just put some clear coat along the edges to make sure even more that it wouldn't peel. I'll take off the grey part to fit his arm better once it has fully dried.

What an awesome idea:thumbsup2 my DS who is also autistic, is now 12, has a photographic memory, and knows every inch of Disney property :rotfl:and I'm pretty sure if we lost him, I'd find him back at our room. So, don't need it for him, but sure could have when he was younger and non-verbal.

Great idea - love your color change one too.

And, with a picture on it he likes, he is less likely to try to remove it.:thumbsup2

About how much time does it take to do 1 band? I don't know if I could pull off free-style, but might use some stickers. So as I understand it, I use a clear base coat & then put on the stickers. Follow that up with another clear base coat?(letting everything dry in between) I like the idea of putting the band around a water bottle, instead of decorating it flat. That way it won't crack when it's bent to the shape of a wrist. Should the Mickey head be left alone? Doesn't it need to match up to the Mickey Head on the FP return stations? I would think that if it was painted over, it would take longer to match the Mickey heads up.

Great job everyone on some awesome magic bands!
