Did anyone else get upset watching last nights show?? :sad1: :sad1:

The episodes just keep getting more and more intense......

Yeah. I told my DH that Sig getting all emotional was a bit much for me.
I'm glad that the Maverick is pulling in large pots!

I love this show and didn't know it was on again. Please tell me where I can catch up? The first time I watched this a few seasons ago, my DH came into the room and said, "now I've seen it all, you're watching a show about FISHING?!" Then he got hooked too.

Fill me in!

TIA.

Hey Steven in Pensacola...Kristy in Cantonment here.

My family loves that show. I didn't realize the new season had started. We'll have to tune in. See what important stuff I would miss if I wasn't a disser?:thumbsup2

we're actually Cantonment-ites also....

Did not get to see last nights show, except for the very very end....I'm assuming that there were several deaths from the ship that sunk in last week's episode?

3/4 died...

LOVES IT!! and Dirty Jobs..Mike Rowe is so funny!

I love both of these shows.

Me too! DH likes this show, too. I can't imagine being on a boat in those conditions. :scared1: We also watch Dirty Jobs. Have you all seen the Chevy commercials he has been doing? He seems to be a real down to earth kind of guy.

Denae

He really is. You should visit the Dirty Jobs web site discussion threads, he is on there all the time.

Did you know that he used to be a host on QVC? I'm going back a few years now but he was good.

He was also, until recently the host of a local real estate show called "Your New Home" in the Balitmore/DC area.

I just wonder if they ever get mad that the captains don't do any of the physical work.

I don't think they do. :) The captains have just as hard a job as the deckhands. They are in the wheelhouse for days at a time and have to be alert at all times. They have to make sure that they line up the boat correctly in bad seas and low visability for the guys to be able to hook the lines. And they have to make all the decisions on where to drop the pots, etc.

Who else thinks Sig Hansen is hot?

:yay: Me.

Wow, this show just keeps getting better.

How about poor Roz spending the first couple of days puking, then she whips up that fab meal and loses the bet and stuffs bait containers and learns to measure and handle the crabs. I think she should be proud of herself. I was a little leary especially after the grocery store scenes.

The footage from the Coast Guard helicopter was intensely sad, especially when they interviewed the survivor and he would point to the bodies when he was talking about them, that was eeewwww.

I am glad they showed some emotion with Sig, he is human!

Blake is doing pretty good for a newbie - It will be interesting to see who wins the bet.

I still like Phil and his son Jake really has stepped up to the plate. The jury is still out in our house on the other son Josh.

Fabulous episode last night! Great job to the team who rescued the crew man from the other ship! I was on the edge of my seat during that. And then seeing grown men break down afterwards - I'll admitt I cried!
~Amanda

I agree, last night's episode was good. Totally understand Phil's blood boiling at the two boys going and shopping on his credit cards, especially since he was looking at a big bill for replacing that propellor!

Holy Crap! Can you believe Phil's blood pressure levels?!! :scared1: 185/120. Seriously, he is a heart attack or stroke waiting to happen, I hope he is medicated.

Sig and his boys are doing well - I hope they stay on top!

Another good episode last night. The rescue was nail biting and tearful. So glad that they were there and he was okay. :thumbsup2

Still not liking Blake all that much. I can't believe the pathetic attempt they made to sabotage Phil's pot. Amateurs!!

I agree great episode! I think most of those captins are this close |-----| to a heart attack. Is it that why the original captin of the Maverick gave the boat job to his son because he couldn't handle another seasons ups and downs. DH and I were wondering how were they going to get the guy back over there after he warms up/recovers?

Me too!

And did anyone get to see Sig and Edgar on Jay Leno last night? It was hillarious. :rotfl: They were so cute.

I agree. Most of them smoke like feins, their stress levels must be off the charts, not to mention the lack of sleep.....

The owners of the Maverick started a new business and let Blake (ick) take over the boat....but, and mistake me if I'm wrong, I don't think Blake is their son....

Maybe they'll keep the guy on the boat until the next time they get to one of the ports or something, not sure - good question..... :confused3

NO!!!!! :sad1: I didn't know they were on!! I would have DVR'd it. DARN IT!!!

but, and mistake me if I'm wrong, I don't think Blake is their son....
No, he is not their son. Rick and Donna will be on this season. Blake is not captianing the whole season.
