Best commentary we've seem so far showed up in a local FB group set up as a kind of home town swap-shop.
A guy posted up a pic of 2 gallons of milk and 2 loaves of bread.
Starting bid: $150.00

We got a good chuckle out of that one.

Love it! The company I work for sources corn for Jack down at a couple of grain elevators we own in Tennessee. About 5 or 6 years ago, we got a full barrel of Single Barrel which is on display in the corporate office and all employees and some of our customers got bottles from that barrel. That was some good stuff.

I never did get a taste for Jack Daniels. Maybe it's the charcoal. I still prefer bourbon.

Biggest snow in the Nashvile area since 13 years ago. It's a mess so many accidents that if there is not an injury police are not responding as there are just so many - just exchange insurance info and try to get home.

I wish all you southerners would stop being greedy with all the snow! All we've had is a couple of snow events this year leaving 2 or 3 inches. That's not even enough to do some good sledding.

And it's also not enough snow to keep me from tearing up the yard when I turn of traction control and try to crab walk my truck down the driveway.

So, you may call me a nerd, but when there's a thread like this on a forum, with as much history as this one has, I like to dig back and learn that history. I like to figure out as many of the inside jokes as I can, maybe pick up a few new fart jokes, etc. It took me some digging, but I tracked down every previous DDC thread... all 34 (including this one) of them. The first one shows that there's 190 pages, but they're all blank, not sure what's up with that. (EDIT, I found a link to the real first thread and edited the link below. Not sure what that other thing was)

One thing that kind of surprised me though, especially in the beginning of this thread, with all it's metrics, there's no one post that contains a link to each of the previous posts. So, if anyone is nerdy like me, here are all 33 previous threads.

Hope you keep your power. Rain started about 5:30 but the temperature dropped quick enough that we didn't get much ice. Reminds me of my youth in the snow belt though. Over 8" and still falling.
