Since it's Friday, and two weeks ago today we were on Castaway Cay during our cruise, figured I would cover Disney's private island. I first have to say, that I am awaiting for DCL to someday have a 7 night cruise with 3 sea days and 3 stops at Castaway Cay as CC is by far our favorite part of sailing with DCL. It's a tropical beach WDW. Water is beautiful and the island is spotless. They do 5k every morning for those crazy enough to run on a tropical island in the summer - just saying. Plenty to do for the kids with supervised areas just like the kid clubs on the ship. There is a family beach and a separate adults beach (Serenity Bay) and despite both kids being 18+ we stayed with the family beach area as there are more places and things to see and do. We were lucky enough to get a cabana (+++ but includes bike rental, snorkel eq rental and tube and float rental) which keeps you close enough to things but still a less crowded beach. You can also do all kind of water sport activities (extra charge) paddle boats, snorkeling, jet skis, para sailing, etc. Snorkeling lagoon is pretty cool as there are several sunken Disney things to see including one of the submarines from the old 20,000 leagues under the sea attraction. There are several bars to get libations as well as servers working the the beach to bring you drinks and a couple of souvenir shops. Lunch is included, buffet style bar-b-q cookout buffet (Cookies & Cookies Too) and there are two different drink stations and ice cream stations which are also included.
