Out of curiousity, has anyone contacted a Disney vacation specialist about the rumored California cruises the Magic may be doing next year? :boat: We put in our names with DU but we want to see the pricing before we book anything.

At least we'd have over a year to save for it. :worried:

I put in a request for the July 9th but realized that I have the Madonna Concert the following Sunday!

So I also put in a quote for the repositioning cruise from CA back to FLA!

    If the price is right!

OK, Janet, we'll see you aboard ship! That's the one we requested as well. DW an I did a Panama Canal cruise between kids (that woul be 14 years ago) and it was amazing. And yes, we're pushing the educational aspect as well. :teacher:

It will be so difficult to concentrate at work today!

I received an email from DU stating that we should be patient and that they will get back to us as soon as they can........

Do they not realize we have been patient for how many months now!LOL

    :boat: :boat: :boat:

DD was so excited when I told her about the Minkeys on one of the stops!

    Congratulations. :boat:

I'm still waiting to hear back from DU (I just got out of an all-day meeting so I knew I wouldn't be able to do it myself). What Category is 7620? And are there any insurance or transfers included in that price?

I do believe it includes transfers since that is what I had before?

No insurance since we have an awesome out of country plan now!

I did notice that Skyservice is now flying into LAX!

    Good Luck! Mike

    The price is definately OK!

I was thinking more cancellation insurance, rather than medical.

We're looking to book at Cat 6 (there are 4 of us) but you're right - the price is unbelievable compared to a regular 7-day. We've already been looking at airfare - Spirit has nonstops between Detroit and LAX as well as MCO. And their price is unbeatable.

    It's also for a reclassified cat 7

    6134 July 9 - July 16/05

    A whopping $4265.16

    :faint:

I think I will take the 14 day and celbrate my Bday then!

    Good Luck!

Just got our quote from DU for the 14-day CA-FLA repo. For the four of us in a Cat 6 (ths kids are old enough that we're treated as 4 adults) it is $8103.56 after the early booking discount of $2340 has been applied.

We have until Sunday for the sticker shock to wear off and decide if we're going to go through with it. This cruise could cost more than our proposed new car. :moped:

The car will rust out eventually but the memories will last forever!

There is already a thread started by Grumbo, who is also a fellow Canuk!

We're toying with going out a few days early and using DVC points to stay at the Grand Californian at DL. I'm the only one of the 4 of us who's been to DL before (mind you, it was 30 years ago) and we think the kids would get a kick out of spending a couple of days in LALA Land. At least by using points we can minimize the cash outlay somewhat.
