Darth Vader in the parks?

we are not going to WDW during Star Wars Weekend. That said, is there anywhere in the parks to see Darth Vader? Even a parade? TIA

He is in the Jedi Training Academy show that's right next to Star Tours, but I've also gotten to meet him. My son (who was too little to ride) and I were sitting just outside Star Tours waiting for others. All the sudden Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper came out and we jumped in line. We got autographs and pictures with both of them and my son loved it especially since his sister didn't get to :). But it was just plain dumb luck that we were sitting there at just the right time.

You can see Darth Vader during the Jedi Training Academy show, which is located just outside of Star Tours at DHS. That show usually occurs about 8 times per day and is only about 20 minutes long. He comes out towards the end of the show to do battle with one of the Jedi's in training!

He is there every year for a meet n greet. Be patient, as there will be a line.
Last year he was beside the gift shop off the NYC Street area. (Between the gift shop and the bathrooms.)
Hard to say of that is where he will be again though.

I haven't been to WDW since the Jedi Training Academy became a regular feature, but one time when my husband and I were at Star Tours standing right outside the doors to the actual ride, two cast members came through a door in the back and escorted Darth Vader past us. None of them said a word, but ever since, we've been convinced that Start Tours is secretly run by the Empire. ;)

We were at WDW last year for Star Wars weekend. It was kind of crazy, not really what I expected but everyone really enjoyed it. We were able to see Darth Vader but was not able to get his autograph. We did get the autograph of Chewbacca and Ewok. We got the fast pass early in the day and then went to the special gift shop and bought matted photos and then had to go back in the afternoon for the actual autograph session.

We have seen Darth Vader in the waiting area outside Star Tours. Our son had a great time with Darth and the Stormtroopers. Darth and one stormtrooper were interacting with our son and the other one was behind us and we couldn't figure out what he was doing. Next thing we know he has our sons necklace in his hand and wouldn't give it back. They were great, they spent lots of time with our son even with others waiting. After we went on Star Tours they were still there and they remembered our son and started after his necklace again.

We were eating at the restaurant next to where they do the Jedi Training Academy. Except we didn't know there even was a Jedi training academy. So in mid bite I looked out the window and said," UH, I see storm troopers!" The out came Darth Vader. After eating, we waited for the next show and my son was picked to be in it. He hit Darth Vader's light saber so hard that his own light saber went flying into the audience. He was very serious about fighting Darth.
:) Anyway, we got some awesome pictures and he talked about it for the rest of the trip. We're going back in March and he'll be wearing his Start Wars shirt, hoping to be picked again.
