Dapper Day hotel reservation - how to add to account?

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem I am having. I booked DLH through the Dapper Day website. I have since gone on to my Disneyland account and tried to bring up the reservation (Under the "Room Reservations" "My reservations" section.) It has a space to enter your reservation number, etc, but when I enter that it says that it is not valid.

Is this because it is booked through Dapper Day, so all the reservations are held by them? Am I entering the wrong number? (Am entering the 'acknowledgement number' on my reservation as that is the only thing that could be a reservation number). Is this a problem or not an issue and I just won't have the reservation linked to my Disney account?

Interesting. I have a reservation through an event, not Dapper Days, but I just gave it a try and got the same error. My number is clearly marked as the reservation number, so I guess this must have to do with it being an event reservation. I've never booked on-site before with or without an event discount, so I don't know if this is typical.

I ran into a similar problem when I called Disney to add a person to our Dapper Day Reservation. When I gave him the Res. number he said it wasn`t in his system. When I told him it was for Dapper Days he transferred me to their convention dept where they confirmed and helped me. Try calling this number and ask if they take care of convention reservations , Dapper Day. 714-520-5005

What do you have to do in order to get the discounted hotel and ticket prices? The small print says that they'll check reservations against the official "convention" list. Thanks for the help.

You just book through their special event link, so look for it at their website/facebook/etc.

In terms of qualifying, obviously the rates are intended for those participating in the event, but what qualifies as "participating" varies by event. I'm sure you've been to conventions/expos before that require registration and give you a badge. In those cases, I'm sure you need to be actually registered to qualify for the rates. I've never been to Dapper Days, but my vague understanding is that it's a pretty casual event - like a gathering that's open to everyone, not really a "convention". Just go to their website and see if they have any type of registration. If not, then there's no list for Disney to check.

I also have a reservation with the Dapper Day rate and I'm so terrified I'm going to arrive and my reservation will be canceled and I'm not going to have a place to stay! I'm pretty sure the Dapper Day website says there are no official lists to register on but I'm still nervous!

I also don't like how I have no clue how much I actually owe when I arrive, it seems like there are so many fees that get added on...is there a way to call the hotel directly and ask or do I have to call the convention number?

The total is shown on the confirmation letter-under rate summary which includes tax and fees. Use that number and minus the amount the deposit you paid (also on the same letter), you should be able to figure the amount you owe.

I have had no issues with Dapper Day (or Gay Days) rates at GCH (or DLH). You will be fine.

There is a 17% room tax (split as 15% and 2%) and parking (if you have a car), there are no "resort fees" or any other mystery items.

Well that's good to know, the closer I'm getting, the more I'm getting nervous my room will be canceled, haha! I'm going to call and confirm a few days before, just in case, because, well, I'm just paranoid like that!

I think I was getting confused about the 15% and 2% split, I did look at my reservation again and it was all added into the price so I think except for parking, I know what I owe! Thanks for your help!

I try to go to all of the dapper day and use the rates through the special link. I've never had an issue at all and I've always been able to call the hotel operator to ask questions and they're able to look me up by my last name no problem! No one has ever asked me whether I'd be participating in the events. We do attend the convention at the dlh hotel but how would they ever know that? So rest assured you won't have any problems!

So is there anyway to link the reservation to you Disneyland App? I tried to use the numbers from my confirmation and the reservation number I was given from the convention center and the account on the app says it is not valid.

I have ordered my tickets, one twilight ticket for use on the first date when I arrive and then a five day park hopper pass. When I check in at the Disneyland Hotel will they they link the convention tickets to my room key? I printed off the tickets as instructed on the order. Just wondering if they will link those upon my arrival.

It says by email, but I've been on their email list for about a year, and can't find it on any of my emails from them. Can someone tell me how to get the discounted passes? I have to price out the whole thing to see if my budget will allow it. Thanks!

EMH is enforced by visually checking room keys.

So I just carry the ticket I printed with me each day to the parks? There's nothing like a key to the world card?
