CT People- Visiting Dignitaries in State Today?

Hoping someone from CT knows who this person could be. My daughter boarded a flight this afternoon from BDL to LAX that stopped in Baltimore also. She said there was a man who had quite an escort-two state police along with 2 or 4 Secret Service (I wasn't clear if 4 was the total # of people or the # of Secret Service guys-she called me during her layover to tell me this info to see if I knew who it could be). At the gate, he was met by three airport security people also. I looked who gets Secret Service coverage, and not many people qualify. Presidents and their families, Vice -Presidents and families, former Presidents for 10 years, Pres. and VP candidates, visiting heads of state and foreign dignitaries, and others at the President's request. I thought maybe it was a Cabinet member, but I'm not sure if they would get coverage, so I'm left with maybe a foreign dignitary. I checked a couple news sites and didn't see anyone mentioned. She is curious as to who it might have been, and so am I. Any ideas?

Here is what I found. I saw this on the news tonight. Could this be who your daughter saw?

The heavy hitters in the health care reform debate took their case to a small Connecticut company Monday morning.

Senator Christopher Dodd, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, and Small Business Administrator Karen Mills conducted a roundtable discussion at the Connecticut Commercial Maintenance Company, a small firm that employees six people.

The owner of the company, Kevin Galvin, said he simply cannot afford health insurance for his workers and that this has prevented him from retaining and attracting good employees. He said it also makes it very difficult for him to compete at the global level, even though he's been in business for eighteen years.

Sebelius and Dodd said that small businesses are the engine that will lead this nation out of its recession and that these companies will be the foundation for creating good-paying jobs in the economy. But they said that for this to happen, small companies must be able to provide their workers with health care insurance at an affordable cost.

Dodd, who will undergo prostate surgery at the end of this month, said he'll be traveling the country in the interim, pushing for health care reform.

Thanks for finding this, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Dodd. I feel certain she'd know who he was, but I will ask when I next speak with her to be sure. Don't think he'd have Secret Service with him--state cops, maybe, but Senators apparently don't get protection. (Imagine that bill!) I could see Kathleen Sebelius maybe having Secret Service agents when she travels, but it was a man on the plane.

How does she know it was secret service? I know that our governor travels with plainclothes state police. They wear suits and have the earpieces, etc. I am just wondering if maybe it was a governor?

I didn't think that it would be Dodd either, but these are the only government people that I heard of visiting the state yesterday. I would think that Dodd would fly into Reagan National, not BWI.
