Does anyone else find it frustrating that the e-mail sent out by runDisney has a link to the course map on it and then when you click on the link it takes you to the Marathon page where is says course map available soon? I know it is the same course as last year but there is something motivating about having the map with the current year on it.:scratchin

They sent emails out yesterday. I, too, found it annoying to not have a course shown.

Of course, in the igoodie bag they have a link to Champion that has a coupon that expired on the 24th (the day BEFORE the email was sent out) and another coupon that doesn't even start until January, so someone's not really on the ball.

And the goodiebag has recipes including one for a "desert"...not my spelling error, but theirs. Sure do wish they'd hire me as their proofreader.

And I would have prevented them from sending out an email with a link to the course when they don't have the courses out yet!

What email x2?

Ken, there is a slight revision to the 2014 course... Could be one reason that it has not posted. Certification came in about 2 weeks ago.

Here is a MMR version

Every year when the course maps come out (or are discussed), I think- if I EVER talk myself into running a full marathon it will be for the sole reason of running through ALL of the WDW theme parks. Kudos to you all for making this incredible journey!

I didn't get any e-mail or goody bag... Didn't get any Final Instructions for the Wine&Dine either. I got confirmation of registration and proof of time though...

The e-mail I got was that generic how is your training going? Here are all the other ways we can help you spend your money (pre race post race cheer squad) stuff. And on the side bar was a set of links to the irunner information page that is short on information at present time.

Coach, what is the slight revision. It looks pretty much the same to me.

For the last few years, we come up the rr track service road and veer right backstage DAK. We entered the park through the Africa Gate, just behind Tamu Tamu Refreshments made a hard right and ran to Expedition Everest, then headed in front of Dinoland and exited backstage through the Restaurantosaurus Gate next to that restaurant.

In the 2014 version, we still come up the RR service road but take that road to the left and enter through the Asia Gate, between Yak and Yeti Restaurant and Maharajah Jungle Trek; or maybe better found as the gate across from Kali River Rapids. We follow the same path from there, by Everest and in front of Dinoland but then make a left and run out the Chester-Hester Gate next to the Primeval Whirl. The net result is a slightly shorter course in the park.

Again not much of a revision, but enough to warrant a cert revision.

I should add no revisions to the half course for 2014.

For those who didn't get the email, you didn't miss anything. It was a complete waste of my time.

Hello Charles

Thank you for posting the certified map and the MMR version that you created. You are most helpful for obsessives like myself who visualize the marathon course during long runs.

I particularly liked how your MMR version, at mile 22 and the med tent in the same spot, the satellite view was taken on a marathon Sunday. You can clearly see the tent and the runners making the turn down to the back entrance to the Hollywood studios.

I love course maps! I hate how long Disney takes to put them up, especially when nothing changes.

I'm still waiting to see the Tink 10K...I've seen the proposed one, but come on, guys! It's coming up!
