Does anyone know what it costs for a hair styling appointment on the Disney Wonder? I asked the Cruise Line but they just said prices are subject to change and to book once we are onboard. I was trying to set up an appointment for someone else.

When DH & I sailed the Dream for our anniversary last September I had my hair dried & straightened in the salon. We had Remy booked for dinner and after a relaxing day on Castaway Cay I seriously didn't feel like doing all that work on my hair. I have a head full of hair that comes down to the middle of my back. It really is a LOT of work to dry & straighten. So, I washed my hair during my shower, fixed my face, then went to the salon for them to deal with my mass of long tresses. They did not wash my hair. Only dry and straighten. Cost was $80. I tipped an additional $20 bringing the total to $100. Huge splurge, I know. To do it myself would've taken over an hour and I almost always end up sweaty and aggravated. It was worth it to stay relaxed and enjoy the evening.

Wow that seems high! I am not familiar with the cost of this in the USA, but here in Greece people can get their hair straightened from 10 - 20 Euro.

I was just wondering about this myself. Wow. No way. I'll wear pigtails before I spend that. Waaaaah.

My mom got her hair washed, cut and styled on the Magic in April 2012 - I think it was either $55 or $65. It was a port morning and the spa and salon were almost empty at that time.

For the cost, I wouldn't get it done again on board - the stylist was "just okay" the cut was "just okay" and so the out come was "just okay".

The view was fabulous but that's the only memorable part of that experience.

Generally, all services in the salon onboard are priced higher than you can get at home. Longer hair also costs more.

Exactly and exactly. Any salon service on the ship comes at a premium. I generally pay more for services than others at home because I have a lot of very long hair. It's halfway down my back. At home when I get my cut, highlights, & lowlights I spend no less than $150. Don't even get me started on how much a Keratin smoothing treatment costs. Its a LOT of hair. If my husband didn't love it so much I prob'ly would cut it shorter. He loves it, tho.
