Is WL CL ever included in the discounts? I'd like to try CL there; love the lodge itself and being club level would just ramp up the enjoyment, I think!
Yes . We stayed WL CL on a discount and I often see it offered when new discounts come out. With that said, it is like any other resort in that a discount will be offered for that particular room type if occupancy is low for a certain time period and Disney sees the need to fill those rooms . I would definitely recommend giving WL CL a try as the food offerings are great, the CMs are awesome, and the lounge seating is arranged in a way that makes it a great place to sit and relax while overlooking the beautiful lobby .
Can anyone tell mee what is currently being offered for the 5-7 appys? I have seen lists for other resorts, but am not finding BW. I would like to get an idea. The only thing I have seen is cheese and crackers, but it has always been more than that when we have had the chance to stay CL.
After talking everyone else into doing WL CL, I had to question why we weren't doing it again....well, I will question no more! We are headed back to WL CL for another glorious 10 nights in April!!!
Because I am a chronic resort changer, I have been booked at a few different CL's and so have had email correspondance with a couple of the IPO's. I have noticed that YC IPO is really quick!!! Sometimes, I'll get a response from them before even the automated response that they will respond w/in 24 hours!!! I've noticed that the WL IPO will often take close to the full 24 hours to respond....maybe some are busier than others?
But, again, it's just an observation...YC IPO is lightening fast!
Well, I havent heard friom AKL CL at all yet...I've only stayed there once before and i cant remember when I first heard from them...I'm 138 days out
I always initiate first contact. You should email them and introduce yourself.
The above post made me think, does CL contact you or will it be better to contact them? Is there a timeframe that works. I know I am not having them make all my reservations but some and dd activities. Do the also book golfing for you?

I emailed them first....especially if you
use a TA because the IPOs don't even know you exist. IPO at AKL is fabulous I have spoken with them and emailed them a couple times already and they have been wonderful.

I booked directly through Disney a little over a month ago and haven't heard from anyone. We go the end of next month. Do I need to reach out to them with any requests or wait for them to contact me?
Hmm IPO should have contacted you already, I'd suggest sending them an email or calling the appropriate phone # for your resort's IPO.
Thanks, no I didnt use a TA, I'm DVC so I booked a CL AKL villa through them.
Thought I would throw out my experience of contact with the IPO before our trip. So far I am very impressed! We are staying at WL in early December. We booked the trip through the Disney website 10 months out. The IPO 1st initiated contact via e-mail probably 8/9ish months out. We got an initial Howdy. Then at about 7 months out we got an e-mail with the survey to fill out about ADR's, flights, etc. Then I got an itineray with my ADRs at like 8:00am on the 180 day, then another e-mail with my itinerary again about a month ago asking if we needed anything. So far the IPO has been great!
Which brings me to a question. Since my initial itinerary I have become a crazy ADR changer and have modified, added, canceled, etc. So my ADR's now barely resemble what they initially booked for me (I did keep the Ohana on arrival day which was my main motiviation for letting them book my ADS's in the 1st place). In one of their e-mails they asked me to notify them of any changes to my initerary. Should I bother sending them an updated list. I don't want to put more work on them and didn't know if they really needed or cared about the information.
We are staying AKL CL Nov. 13-17th.............We have had no contact with the IPO????????? I have been reading all the posts on here so I tried emailing them but have never received a reply(we are paid in full and I had confirmation info., we also made our ADR's on are own).....I called after getting no response and the woman I talked to said unless we needed them to do ADR's or other requests that there was no reason to contact them ......We have never stayed CL before so this is all new to us.
Technically she is right. The first time we did CL, we also booked all of our ADR's and tours on our own, so we really did not use the IPO. However, they did email us a Personal Itinerary Planner form which we filled out. We let them know our rough arrival time and the confirmation numbers for our ADR's. They then made up an 2-3 page itinerary for our trip based on what we supplied. If it was me, I would call again and ask them to email you the Personal Itinerary Planner so you can let them know what your plans are for the trip and to ensure they know you are coming to stay. (On our last visit, we let the IPO do everything)
We are staying poly CL in December. This is our first time to use the IPOs. Last time we were magically upgraded at arrival (and they got us hooked on CL). Anyway, our 45 day payoff date is next week. Do I go through the IPOs for that or just make the pmts online or call the general WDW line? Also, we will have to leave a day earlier than planned. Do I go through an IPO or again just do it online to make those changes?
Well, that's pretty accurate info. They do help with making ADRs , also with booking special things like illuminations cruises, etc. what kind of help do you need? Was there something in particular? Feel free to ask me anything, I'm happy to help. You can send me a PM too if you'd like.
You would make your final payment either online or by calling, just as you would if you were not staying CL. You would also cancel the night you don't need through CRO and have to call to do that as changes can't be made online. But make sure you do that no later than your 45 day mark or else you will be charged a $50 change fee.
