butiflfeet and her DH also dined at the Wilderness Lodge last night, but first they stopped at the Grand Floridian for a pre-dinner cocktail at...

    Mizner's Lounge

butiflfeet said, "This drink is not on the menu but if Sheila is working the bar she will mix it up for you. It's a Poison Apple and it is awesome! She mixed apple vodka, Captain Morgan, Sprite, some bitters, and a few other things for this beauty." :thumbsup2

Then butiflfeet and her DH headed to the Wilderness Lodge to have dinner at...

    Artist Point

    First a menu pic...

    Mixed Field Greens Salad
with Heirloom Apples, Sunflower Seed Granola, Rogue River Bleu Cheese, and Ice Wine Vinaigrette

"We both started with the seasonal salad and really liked the ice wine dressing. I thought it might turn out too sweet but it was wonderful."

    Slow-roasted Buffalo Strip Steak
served with Macaroni and Cheese, Rainbow Chard, and Blackberry Pinot Noir Reduction

"For my main I chose the buffalo strip steak. This was perfectly cooked medium rare and the Pinot Noir sauce was a great sweet and tart accompaniment. The mac and cheese was to die for!"

    All-Natural Kurobuta Pork Tenderloin
served with Peruvian Purple Potato Mash, Heirloom Rainbow Carrots, Crispy Sweet Onions, and Wild Berry Gastrique

"DH had the pork tenderloin. He wouldn't share much with me so it was wonderful as well. ;) We split the berry cobbler for dessert but I forgot a picture of it. It's one of my favorite desserts at Disney World!" :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info - I'll have to remember to do that! :goodvibes

As for tonight's other updates, the Wilderness Lodge food definitely has me feeling hungry. I'd like to try WCC sometime (still haven't been there yet), and it's so great to see an updated Artist Point menu! The tuna, salmon, and buffalo all sound amazing - how I miss that place. :cloud9:

Next in this morning was an update from the Birthday Girl, Becky (BlovesC).

For her birthday breakfast, she and Charlie headed to the Grand Floridian Resort's...

    Grand Floridian Cafe

    First a menu pic...

Lobster Eggs Benedict - Two Poached Eggs, Lobster hash, Asparagus, and Hollandaise Sauce

"Can I eat now? Is picture time over?!" :lmao:

Citrus Pancakes - Roasted Pecan and Sun-dried Cranberry Pancakes served with House-made Orange Butter

Then about 1/2 hour later, Becky sent me this menu pic from the Tomorrowland Terrace...

Becky said, "Tomorrowland Terrace is serving breakfast during the Main Street Bakery renovation. Kinda lackluster!"

Notice the Beignets listed on the menu. Hmmm, I wonder. :scratchin Could they be the same as those served at POFQ??? :confused3

Then Becky said, "Btw, we are about to board Space Mountain. Perfect for after breakfast!" :crazy2:

She had this for breakfast this morning from...

    Earl of Sandwich

Ham, Egg, & Cheddar Cheese Sandwich

We also received a lunch update from Paula, who ate at the...

    Jolly Holiday Bakery

Jolly Holiday Combo - Toasted Cheese Sandwich & Tomato Basil Soup

    And for dessert...

    Brownie Cheesecake

One last breakfast update from today, this one from butiflfeet.

She and her family went to the Polynesian Resort this morning to have breakfast at...

    Kona Cafe

Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with Strawberry Compote and Ham

butiflfeet said, "DH had the Tonga Toast and deemed it delicious." :thumbsup2

    Blueberry Pancakes served with Ham

"DSis had these and thought they were nice and fluffy."

Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes with macadamia nut butter, pineapple sauce and Sausage

"I loved these. I really liked the pieces of macadamia nuts right in the pancakes and not just in the butter like you get when these are served with the Big Kahuna. Overall we had a wonderful breakfast this morning!"

That's all for tonight folks! But be sure to check back tomorrow for updates from Tutto Gusto, Jiko, and Restaurant Marakesh, to name just a few. Also the face of Niki (Andiokno) will be revealed in one of her updates from today. In addition, we received the first update from one reporter who just arrived and the final update from another reporter, glasslipper. Oh, and I also think that one of our reporters just might have a DISmeet photo or two to share with us tomorrow. ;)

You are not alone. I've been craving cheese plate lately due to all the cheese plates pictured in this thread and forum. So I split one with my dad for dinner tonight. :hyper:

    Good morning everyone! :)

I posted all of our breakfast updates from yesterday last night, so now let's move on to lunch. :thumbsup2

Our first lunch update is from yesterday's birthday girl, Becky (BlovesC).

She and her DH, Charlie, had lunch at...

    Be our Guest

Becky started her update with this pic...

She said, "The line to get into BoG for lunch. Joy!"

Then about 20 minutes later came this pic...

Becky said, "We sat in this room...the gallery? I have no idea, but it was much, much quieter than the ballroom." :thumbsup2

And here is what they had to eat...

Carved Turkey Sandwich served on a warm baguette with Dijon mayonnaise and Pomme Frites

    "I love fried pommes, don't you?" ;)

Croque Monsieur - Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel with Pommes Frites.

Passion Fruit Cream Puff filled with Passion fruit mousse and topped with whipped cream

"Deux passion fruit cream puffs. I certainly wasn't going to get another cupcake!" :sad2:

And Niki Andiokno also had lunch in the new Fantasyland area.

Niki said, "We spent all day at Magic Kingdom. Lunch was my leftover Turkey sandwich from ESPN and a little stop at..."

    Gaston's Tavern

"We shared a pork shank that was huge and tasty. DH wanted some BBQ sauce but there was none to be found." :sad2:

"We also got a LeFou's Brew. Yummy frozen apple juice. It is a bit too sweet, but the mango foam on top is tart. As long as you mix the two, it is not sweet. Here's a photo of me and the brew. It is the worst photo I have ever taken, I swear."

I've never had the Tonga Toast...but when I plan my next trip (in my head) I always want to go to Kona and can't decide between Tonga Toast and the Samoan. So now I know I can go to CC for Tonga Toast and get the Samoan at Kona.

Of couse, this is all in my head for a trip two years from now :rotfl2:

However, butiflfeet's group was at another park yesterday and had lunch at Epcot's...

    Tutto Gusto

butiflfeet said, "Lunch today was a bit light. We're pretty stuffed from all our meals this trip.

We stopped at Tutto Gusto for some wine flights and some snacks."

    First a menu pic...

    Then some display case pics...

    Then their wine flights...

    From the Hills of Piemonte

    Anytime Whites

butiflfeet said, "The food we shared there was the Siciliana Plate, which had fresh mozzarella, eggplant caponata and salami. It was excellent."

    La Siciliana

"We had already dug into this before I remembered to take a pic.
So it is actually about 75% bigger when it comes to your table." ;)

    Then for their desserts...

Tiramisu, Panna Cotta, and Nutella Custard

"We all enjoyed Tutto Gusto very much. We will be stopping by here during future trips.

She and her family arrived at Disney World on Tuesday (I think?) and had their first Disney meal at Downtown Disney's...

    Kids' Grilled Cheese

"DS said it was very good!"

"Breakfast at the Boardwalk Bakery consisted of this yummy cranberry orange muffin from the temporary set up for boardwalk bakery. We all got this and bananas. I figured you didn't need to see pictures of bananas."

    Cranberry Orange Mickey Muffin

    Then from Pecos Bill's...

Deluxe Angus Burgers & French Fries (hidden under the pickles ;) )

I'm so glad I'm finally feeling up to looking at pictures of food again..... looking at them makes me really want to go back in 2 years and eat (and drink) all that I couldn't when we were there in December!

I can't wait to read another Kona review. I just decided my last meal at WDW for our Feb trip will be lunch at Kona. I cannot resist the allure of the sticky wings even if it means dining alone ;)

    My dining plans are now:

Feb 1- late night bar food and drinks at Raglan Rd
Feb 2- lunch at teppan edo, dinner at CS in Epcot (breakfast probably a cupcake in Disney Studios!)
Feb 3- lunch ?? , dinner at Trail's End, cocktails elsewhere
Feb 4- lunch at Kona Cafe
