Then for the last update of their trip, Cyndi & family sent these pics from their dinner last night at an off-property, but nearby restaurant...

    Fuddrucker's

Cyndi said, "We were seriously tired of Disney food, so we drove a short distance from SSR to the Crossroads Shopping Center and went to Fuddruckers."

Here is what they had there...

    Cheese Quesadilla

Cyndi said, "This was DS08's and he ate almost all of it."

Cyndi's Grilled Chicken Sandwich with grilled skinless, boneless chicken breast

And the other two had the...

World's Greatest Hamburger - 100% USDA All-American premium-cut beef, grilled to order and placed atop their fresh, sesame-topped scratch baked bun ready for you to pile it high at their market fresh produce bar.

Cyndi said, "They have a big fixings bar and the meat and rolls were really good!" :thumbsup2

emmebear sent this update last night from their dinner at Epcot's...

    Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

    First some menu pics...

    Kids Menu

    emmebear started with this cocktail...

    Dirty Martini

emmebear said, "This was not on the menu, but took advantage of the full bar.
It was scrumptious and $7 without TIW discount." :thumbsup2

emmebear's Plate from the Cold Buffet

Then for her entree, emmebear chose...

Mushroom-stuffed Pasta with Swiss Chard, Oven-roasted Shiitakes, and Parmesan Cream

emmebear said, "This was recommended by the CM. It was very tasty! I could easily see myself ordering this again.
Very comforting, especially with the windy/cold night."

Kids Grilled Chicken Breast served with corn and mashed potatoes

emmebear said, "They didn't charge Emme for this. The chicken was a little dry and the corn was definitely canned corn, but the mashed potatoes were good."

    Then for dessert they had...

Royal Chef's Dessert Plate (served family style)
    - Sweet and Savory Chocolate Mousse
    - Traditional Rice Cream topped with Strawberry Sauce
    - Flaky Puff Pastry filled with Mascarpone Mousse topped with fresh Berries

emmebear said, "I wasn't a fan of any of the desserts. The rice cream confused me. The strawberries on top of the puff pastry were good though. I wish I could have traded the dessert for another bowl of pasta." ;)

emmebear added, "Overall, it was an OK meal. It was very busy and our table was in the main walkway." :worried:

And now for some Disney Princesses...

emmebear said, "Emme was tired and didn't look at the camera at all during dinner. :worried: She was happy to see the princesses though. Her face would light up when they came to her, but then she frowned when I took her picture."

emmebear said, "The complimentary picture they gave me was awful. I asked if they could give me one where Emme didn't look so po'd, as he took 10 shots. They brought me another one where she's looking at the camera and just semi-po'd, which was really nice of them to do!" :thumbsup2

emmebear said, "Cinderella was there tonight! I was surprised to see her there. Emme was very excited (on the inside, anyway)."

One last pic from the Akershus dinner...

emmebear said, "Aurora picked Emme for the Princess Processional!" :)

Then a bonus princess pic from ARIEL'S GROTTO in the NEW FANTASYLAND...

We received one more update last night, this one from Kristi (klinlin).

She and her family were at DHS yesterday and had lunch at...

    50's Prime Time Cafe

Here are the two entree pics she sent from that lunch...

Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken served with mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and corn (subbed for the southern greens)

A Sampling of Mom's Favorite Recipes
Crispy-fried Chicken, Fork Tender Pot Roast, and Traditional Meatloaf with all the fixings

Kristi said, "We had a great server, Cousin Gary. He was funny and made my son set the table and return the menus to the hostess stand. The food was much better than I expected and the boys loved the theme of restaurant." :thumbsup2

emmebear said, "An observation: Why is Disney bacon so sad and limpy?" :confused3

And this plate, which included pastrami, smoked salmon, and ginormous strawberries!

    And then last, this plate...

Just received an update from HoneyBeeM, which began with this mid-morning snack from...

    SUNSHINE SEASONS

    Stawberry Shortcake

HBM said, "This was delicious. The strawberries were so fresh!"

Then she and her mom had lunch at...

    SAN ANGEL INN

    Complimentary Chips & Salsa

    Tostadas de Tinga
Fried corn tortillas topped with black refried beans, lettuce, onions, avocado, tomato marinated chicken, sour cream, and fresh cheese

HBM said, "Sorry for the bad quality of the pic...it's so dark in there! Mom and I both had an order of Sopa Azteca (tortilla soup, sorry no pic) and tostadas de tinga as our entree. We really weren't impressed. My mom couldn't stand all the red onions on the tostadas. They were loaded!"

She added, "This is the third time trying this place. Service was lacking...never saw the waiter! Food was just okay...it tasted like something I could easily make at home."

And the last but not least, they grabbed dessert from the...

    BOARDWALK BAKERY

Oreo Cupcake & Key Lime Pie

HBM said, "Everyone loved the pie (as you can see, it didn't even make it back to the room)! The cupcake was great too. I loved the creamy cookie filling in the middle."

    Chefs de France

Here are the entrees that she and her family chose...

Coquille St Jacques et crevette, gnocchis Provencales - sauteed scallops and shrimps served with gnocchis provencales

Kristi said, "My husband had this. It was awesome. I only tasted the shrimp and the sauce had a great lemon flavor." :thumbsup2

    DS11 enjoying his Macaroni & Cheese :thumbsup2
Gratin de macaroni - Baked macaroni with cream and gruyere cheese

Kristi said, "Both I and my 11 yr old (Disney adult) son had this. Very heavy but the melted gruyere cheese is to die for."

    Blanc de Poulet Aux Nouilles
Breaded chicken strips served with pasta (sauce on the side)

Kristi said, "I forgot to take dessert pictures, but my husband and I both had creme brûlée. Awesome, but no Madeleines. The older boy loved the creme puffs, and younger one opted for a chocolate chip cookie. Very nice meal, very handsome waiter." ;)

I received a couple more updates from Ellen (podsnel) today. As you may recall, she and her family were at Disney World earlier this month. While there she did a short update from their dinner at Raglan Road, adding that she had taken more pics with her regular camera and would send those later. So this first update will be a combination of her original update plus the many more pics that Ellen just sent me.

Ellen (podsnel) and family were at Downtown Disney (around 11/3) and had dinner at...

    Raglan Road

    Ellen started with this cocktail...

    Very Berry Blueberry Martini
Smirnoff Blueberry Vodka, Chambord, Triple Sec & cranberry juice.

Ellen said, "This was fabulous! I liked it so much that I had a second one."

Beer Flight x 2: The Four Provinces - Guinness | Smithwicks | Harp | Kilkenny

Ellen said, "Steven (BIL) ordered two beer flights...just kidding, one was for Pods. They didn't like the Kilkenny." ;)

Pods & his brother, Steven, with their beer flights

Appetizer D’Lirrah – Our Dalkey duo, Scallop forrest, Heaven on Earth & Nom Nom Wings as described below.
Dalkey Duo - Battered cocktail sausages with a Dalkey mustard dipping sauce.
Scallop Forrest - Georges Bank scallops in a golden batter served with citrus lime dipping sauce & sweet chili jam.
Heaven on Earth - Baby back ribs tossed in a Guinness glaze.
Nom Nom Wings – Sweet ‘n spicy wings tossed in a honey, chili flake, soy & ginger sauce.

Ellen said, "Of all of that, we liked the sausages the best...could have eaten a million of them." :thumbsup2

    For her entree, Ellen chose...

Lambo - Lamb shank braised in rosemary jus with mash, leeks, shiitake mushrooms & baby carrots.

Ellen said, "I enjoyed this, but it was enormous! I had to share with Tyler."

    Sean had this...

Adult-size Portion of Kids Macaroni & Cheese

    This was Tyler's choice...

Fish & Chips - Beer battered fish 'n chips served with fresh tartar sauce.

Ellen said, "He was not crazy about this."

    Pods had this entree...

It's not bleedin' Chowder! - the freshest cuts of seafood & potatoes in a white wine infused cream broth.

Ellen said, "This was very tasty!"

Timmy surprised them by ordering this...

Pork Vienna – Breaded and seared pork Schnitzel with fried egg and chips

Ellen said, "He hates fried eggs, but he just pulled the egg off the top and enjoyed his schnitzel plain." :thumbsup2

Cluck Curry - Chicken breast in curry broth with onions, peppers, leeks & steamed almond rice

Ellen said, "Steven had this and enjoyed it."

Then for dessert, they got three orders of this...

Radeberger Pilsner, Schöfferhofer Weizen, Altenmünster Oktoberfest, and Hövels

Ellen said, "Steven said of all the beer he tried while in WDW, it was the German beer he enjoyed the most. In contrast, the beer at Raglan Road was kind of flat! I had a glass of Riesling - the driest one they offered."

    Ellen's first plate...

NOOOOOO they changed the cheesy mashed potatoes with the filet?! I was so looking forward to this. I am going in less than 2 weeks and am nervous because I am a picky eater and this menu change does not suit me at all. The only thing I will eat is the filet but I do not like the purple sweet potatoes or glazed carrots at all... will Cali grill switch the sides for me?!!!! I would even be willing to take just plain mashed potatoes

Ellen said, "When we left, we made our way around to Norway to watch Illuminations. I RAN like a nut, and at 3 minutes to 9, I had my one and only Ditch Rita of the trip. Bulmaro made it especially spicy for me, a jalepeno Rita. My fave!" :thumbsup2
