Thank you! This thread is such fun to read, I'm so glad I got to contribute. I told Barb I'm in such a habit of sending her pictures of my food, she might just get a picture of my dinner at home tonight (it was spaghetti, if anyone is wondering). ;)

Wish I was still there today to visit some of those Epcot flower and garden festival booths. Maybe next time!

Just skimmed some of the most recent updates - this thread is still amazing as usual!

It's great to see the menus and prices of the Flower & Garden booths. There are so many things I want to try - chirashi hanazushi from Japan, the lobster and asparagus from Italy, heirloom tomato and mozzarella from UK, and of course the dole whip with spiced rum (just to try the latest dole whip creation ;)). This thread is going to be blowing up with more F&G updates - I can't wait to see them!

So sad to see that Emily's and Brenda's trip is over, but it'll be fun to read more about their experiences in Emily's dining review! :thumbsup2

Finally, I had to comment on Shutters. That place used to get such terrible reviews, but I believe the chef changed last fall and now the menu looks more appealing IMO. Glad to see positive reviews for it, as I'd like to try Shutters sometime. :)

Next we have the final updates from Stini228, who's trip ended on Monday.

Her lunch on Sunday was at DHS'...

    The menu:

"The decor in here is very cool."

    Glass of Fess Parker Riesling

She-Crab Soup with crab fritters and a jalapeno oil

Our Famous Cobb Salad with finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, tomatoes, crumbled bleu cheese, avocado, chives and Cobb dressing

'We both ordered the entree size cobb salad, and decided to share the crab soup. The salad was delicious and so fresh. I was thinking that it would be really perfect on a hot day. The soup was ok, the flavor was a little flat. Needed more of that jalapeno oil I think." ;)

    Hi Barb,
DS14, DD10 and I will be in WDW for a quick trip April 17-19th, staying at POP.
We love this thread and would love to volunteer if you could use us.
I don't have an iphone, but DS14 has an ipod touch which is attached to him at all times and said he'd be happy to help out. Are e-mails from an ipod OK?

    Let me know!

    Emily

Thanks Rachel! Yes, so sad we're back home. :sad2: Would have loved it to work out with the timing of our trips but there's always next time! :)

Hi there DDW! I am looking forward to taking a back seat and seeing what she has to offer as well. (I suppose I will have some input since I ate the food too and she does need to ask my opinion!! :rolleyes1) She experimented with her Canon 40D camera as well so the photos in her DR will be quite different than the iphone photos here. :)

No worries Barb - you have a lot of reviews/photos to juggle! I'm looking forward to seeing where you guys eat later this month!!

I love the Plaza's fries. Their house made chips are really good too. That cheeseburger must have been huge if that is half!

And now for Stini228's final update of her trip.

She and her mom had dinner on Sunday night at the Polynesian Resort's...

    Captain Cook's

"We headed to Captain Cook's on Sunday night for dinner, since my mom LOVES the Aloha Pork Sandwich there, which we both ordered."

"Then breakfast the next morning was at..."

    Wolfgang Puck Express

    "I ordered the breakfast pizza...

    ...and mom ordered the waffle."

"Everything was VERY good. Service was pretty terrible here unfortunately. Our food was dropped off and that was the last time we saw our server. This seems to be a trend lately which is a shame since their food is so good!"

Yes, it was pretty good size - plenty to share and make room for dessert! ;) One thing new for us here... notice the plates are now paper plates? They at least tried to make them look fancy with the faux marble look but they are using all paper for the meals. No big deal just an observation.

Whoa...I didn't notice that. They charge $14 for a cheeseburger and they serve it to you on a paper plate???

We also received the first update from a new reporter who arrived yesterday, MichelleWDWfan.

She said, "I went to Landscape of Flavors at AoA to get a Mickey Ganache and decided on an unscheduled lunch."

    First a menu pic...

And some of the treats in the display case...

    Here's what Michelle chose...

Tandoori shrimp with Naan, basmati riice, spinach with paneer cheese, and slow-roasted lentils. Also, Mickey ganache for dessert.

Michelle said, "This was a delicious meal. The shrimp was cooked fresh upon ordering. The Mickey ganache was sinful and yummy."

Then Michelle was off to Epcot and the Flower & Garden Festival, which opened yesterday. Here is what she tried...

    PINEAPPLE PROMENADE

Dole Whip with Siesta Key Spiced Rum

"Very good. The rum gives it quite a kick!" ;)

Next we received the first update from another new reporter who also just arrived yesterday, AuroraMeansDawn.

Dawn sent us her first pics while still on the Magical Express bus en route to POFQ.

    Dawn's son, Dylan

Dawn said, "Ok gang, are you ready for a magical time? :cool1:

First stop DAK for a late lunch at..."

    Flame Tree Barbecue

"Dylan had the 1/2 slab of ribs, Jesse [her DH] the rib and chicken combo and I had the smoked chicken salad. We subbed water bottles for desserts. My salad was fresh and crispy and a great lift meal. Love the smoked chicken that is moist and flavorful."

"The ribs were smoky and sweet and Dylan liked the dry rub and said they were just messy enough." :thumbsup2

    Jesse enjoying his lunch.

And a pic of their other dining companions...
