MRYPPNS - to answer your question about Trails End.....Yes, they have chicken breasts available as well as legs and thighs. Both fried and rotisserie. And as far as the kids go, there is pizza and Mac and cheese, but no fries or chicken nuggets. But the fried chicken is amazing! It is one of our families favorite restaurants on property.

Great to see the Dine with an Imagineer update!! The soup and salad looked great. Sad that the filet was overdone. I hate when cooks ruin meat...it's cruel and unusual punishment! :lmao:

Can't wait to see the updates from DLP! That cup of porridge from Starbucks was too cute!

And now for an update from Linda (Linda67) about her first day at...

    Disneyland Paris

    "I'm here!"

    "20th Anniversary Décor"

    "A Very Quiet Main Street"

    "The beautiful castle"

"My lunch was at the Market House Deli on Main Street."

"Cheese, pesto and sun dried tomato bruschetta (it was around 7 Euros)."

"This was really good. The pesto and sun dried tomatoes added great flavor. It's a really nice place to stop for lunch and it had a great view of Main St."

    "A menu picture!"

'Whilst waiting for the parade I picked up a cappuccino and a wonderful 20th anniversary chocolate cookie. Mmm - delicious! The coffee in Disneyland Paris is actually pretty good and the cookie was great!"

"I sat outside in a little courtyard and the sun was shining which is very lucky for a February day in Paris."

"I am staying at the Hotel New York so I popped into the "New York City Bar" for a pre-dinner drink. This was a glass of the 20th anniversary Merlot and it was excellent. It was served with nuts and olives."

"It's a really nice bar, good atmosphere and friendly staff."

    Then Linda's dinner was at...

"Took this earlier today do you could see it better in the daylight!"

    The Mediterranean Wrap
Tuna, Feta, Olives, Salad and Mediterranean dressing

"Earl Of Sandwich is in the Disney Marketplace (essentially Downtown Disney) and is directly opposite my hotel. The food is every bit as good as in Orlando - I really enjoyed this. I even practiced my French when I ordered it." ;-)

    "That's it for today!"

Let's start out today with a few pics that elleavon sent last night.

The first is a snack update from POFQ's...

    Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory

    Beignets

"We took a quick boat ride to French Quarter for beignets. Hot! Yum!"

They also had lunch at Animal Kingdom's...

    Tamu Tamu Refreshments

    Fresh Fruit Salad

"We split the shredded beef pita for one entrée and the fruit salad for the other. The presentation of the fruit salad in a half pineapple was so fun, and it was a huge amount of cool, refreshing fruit...just what our refined sugar-filled bodies needed!
I would happily order both items again!" :thumbsup2

Then from their dinner at POR's...

    Riverside Mill

Apple Blossom Dessert - apple pastry served warm with vanilla ice cream

"My pics from dinner at the POR quick service somehow vanished. All that remains is this photo of the apple blossom.
We've eaten several of these and expect to have at least one more before we leave Friday." ;)

Hey Linda, hope you are enjoying the sun again today here :cool1: Shame that the temperature has dropped a bit. EMH must have been chilly

Might be snow coming if you are still here this weekend

Look forward to the TR and don't forget to add your food reviews/photos to the restaurant reviews over with us :p

ps - The coffee is "good" for a theme park if you've got milk in it but don't try it black it's horrible :crazy2:

Next is Our First Update of the Day from elleavon.

This is from their dinner at the Grand Floridian Resort's...

    Grand Floridian Cafe

Panko crusted Lump Crab Cake - Carrot, parsnips, and celery root slaw, chipotle tartar sauce

elleavon said, "I started with a crab cake. No one wanted to share. Lucky me!" ;)

"Griff had the New York strip. He said, "It was good, cooked right, smashed potatoes were awesome." I had the Grand Floridian burger. Obviously, putting lobster on a burger is a splendid idea." :thumbsup2

Grand Floridian Burger - Angus chuck burger, buttered poached lobster with red onion marmalade, crispy prosciutto and arugula on a Brioche bun with chips

Grilled Pork Chop served with black eyed peas and arugula

"Hannah had the pork chop, which was tasty, but she didn't like the black eyed peas and arugula it was served on. Our fabulous server, Martin, happily brought her some brown rice instead. This was the best service of our trip."

    Then for their dessert...

Dessert Sampler - includes Fresh berry tart, Boston cream pie, key lime tart, lemon cheesecake and a chocolate Mickey

    "All of these were superb!"

    And one last close-up shot...

That Boma food makes me excited about going there in April. I wasn't sure about it, but based on your pictures, we should be fine!

    Thanks!

Hot Foods - Bacon, eggs, sausage and tomatoes

"Also, yogurt and fresh fruit. Exactly what you would expect - the fruit was nice and fresh."

    Scrambled egg on toast

"The egg was 'interesting'. Not bad but rather odd in texture. I think it was made from pretend egg!" ;)

"Off to the parks now... Bye bye!"

When we last heard from Linda, she had finished her breakfast and was off for a day of fun at...

    DISNEYLAND PARIS

Here was Linda's next update, "Mid morning snack was at Salon Mickey."

"Salon Mickey is a private club for Disneyland Paris shareholders. It's located next to the entrance turnstiles.
You have to knock using the brass door knocker to get in - very cool." ;)

Here's a couple of interior pics...

"Once you enter Salon Mickey you are offered a choice of pastries and cookies. There is a fridge with juice and water and coffee, tea, cappuccino, and hot chocolate are available - all complimentary."

"I had a cappuccino and this yummy pan au chocolate. It's actually filled with a chocolate/hazelnut filling (a bit like Nutella) and was delicious with a capital D!" :thumbsup2

"The hostess insisted I take a cookie for later. I took a quick photo and popped it in my bag.
I haven't had it yet but it sure looks good." :)

"Walt seemed happy with my choice of pastries."

Linda's next update was from her lunch in Fantasyland at...

    Pizzeria Bella Notte

"This is a very nice counter service restaurant that specializes in Pizza, Pasta and Salads. I was struggling to find an places with non-meat options so when I saw that they had a vegetarian pasta, I hopped right in.":thumbsup2

    "Isn't the box cute?!"

"Not a great pic but it tasted better than this photo looks." :thumbsup2

"This is Fusilli Napolitana - 7.30 euro. Basically it was just pasta with a tomato sauce. I was a little disappointed not to see any chopped veggies in the sauce, but I have to say this was actually very tasty and the sauce was really tasty. The portion size was just right as well." :)

Hi quietgirl! :wave2: You know I just switched over to the new Photobucket and though the pics look fine when I view them on my laptop, when I look at them on my phone they are upside down. I'm really confused??? :confused3 Anybody have a clue as to what's going on?
