I hope that JJ is better. I know that mood swings must be really tough for you.

Wow that was a pricey snack! But it looks so good! How was the pork?

What a magical meet and greet! Tiana is one of my personal favorites so I am pleased to see this. I think they nailed Naveen. I love the frog pictures! Those are great!

I love the last picture with water and everything! That is a really nice picture.

Thank you for letting me know you had a new update. :goodvibes

The pictures of the construction are truly fascinating, I love seeing all the before pictures when there is a project going on, it's amazing to see some of Disney history in the making. ::yes::
I really love seeing old pictures of the construction for WDW, it's amazing how they take mounds of dirt and build it into something truly magical. :goodvibes
Sooo hoping by the time we get there in May it will mostly be done on the outside for us to see. I wonder why they projected the opening date into 2014 for this project, it seems like they are really coming along for it to be so far out. Although, I'm sure they know exactly what it's going to take to finish building and I'm sure they are possibly off by a few months, but probably not by six. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :upsidedow

So how was the pork shank? Better than a turkey leg? Or have you had one of the turkey legs? The FL birds seem to love hounding people for them, kind weird, right? :crazy2: :rotfl: I hear the cinnamon rolls aren't what they were on Main St. (I never cared for them but Mackie likes them) how were these in comparison? With the Main St. bakery gone I feel like most of the really good morning options are gone. I guess it will have to be the waffle at the Sleepy Hollow instead. Mmmm. :lovestruc

I hope JJ's reaction to the sun going down wasn't too bad, it doesn't sound like he was too overly upset. Bless his heart.

The interaction with Tiana and Naveen was awesome!! ::yes:: I love how the characters really get into it, even if they know they are going home soon. Makes it truly seem magical for the kiddos. :goodvibes

How come you didn't want to stay for the parade? Does it bother JJ?

You know you're a Dis'er when......you say fairy :tink: for ferry. :woohoo:

Lol, you need Disney food. Was any of the food in Paris the same as FL?

    2014 it should be completed.

Rumor has it that the mine ride will be finished in October if it stays ahead of schedule. So if that's the case, it will be completed before you get here.

Thanks, it was a very special M&G. I want to write a letter to Disney about the magical experience.

He was still pretty cranky yesterday.

The pork shank was very good. JJ loved it, he called it pork chicken. Of course all meat he eats he calls chicken. There was alot of meat on it too.

Thanks, it was a fun M&G and the characters did a fantastic job.

The last picture is from the Ferry Boat. I think that lake is called the 7 Seas Lagoon. It's a manmade water way. In the evening they have an electrical water parade that is very nice. It goes past the resorts on the lake.

    Thanks.

Gaston's Tavern is a counter service restaurant. It has a limited menu. Lisa would love the LeFou's Brew in a Belle cup. I posted pictures from the preview and soft openings. The menu changed a little bit recently. It's posted a page or 2 back in this TR.

Here are most of the pics I have of Gaston's taken on different days.

You're welcome and thanks for posting!

It is really neat seeing history unfolding. I'm amazed at how fast everything seems to be moving now.

I don't really care for the turkey legs. The pork shank was very good. Some type of dipping sauce would have made it even better, like BBQ sauce. JJ is a ketchup kid and there was no ketchup for it either. He ate it anyway.

I have seen the birds in Frontierland pick up a turkey leg from a guest and carry it off. Have also seen them swipe hotdogs right out of the buns.

The cinnamon rolls aren't the same. I like them better, but miss the gooeyness of the main st. ones.

The waffles at sleepy hollow always look so good. We've never tried one. Someday.

He begins worrying when the sun goes down every night. He's afraid he won't be able to fall asleep at bedtime. Maybe it's because his seizures are in his sleep mostly. I don't know, hard to tell. He gets these ideas in his head and they don't come out. He plays them over and over in his mind.

The M&G totally side tracked him! It was very special.

I would have loved to stay for the parade. I was hoping we'd make it to fireworks. But his anxiety couldn't handle it. After the M&G he was worried about how long it would take to get to the TTC and how long the ride home would be. He wanted to get home so he could go to bed. He was practically hyperventilating til we got in the door. Tears were forming as he brushed his teeth and I put on his night clothes. He couldn't wait for prayers and bed.

    Lol, I missed the typo.

Looking back at this, between soft opening and now the prices went up. Pork Shank went from $7.99 to $9.49

Thanks for all of the extra pics Tink, I had seen the others, I was just unsure what it was considered since it has limited seating and looks like most of the menu items are snack type foods. :confused3:confused3 Lisa would LOVE the Belle cup.

So glad JJ had a better night. May it continue today! :goodvibes

Thanks! They were so good with him.

    Yes, mostly snacks.

Posting the menu changes together showed how they snuck that nearly $2 price increase on those pork shanks.

    Updating on the SWW front:

There have been no official announcements since Disney announced the dates and hosts.

I've got all my ADRs made for each day we will be there of SWW for 1 table service meal a day. Most of our ADRs are for Sci Fi though some are for 50's PTC and one for Mama Melrose.

We have never eaten at Mama Melrose. For those of you who have eaten there, what do you recommend?

Are the pork shanks greasy? And how many PPVs did you figure?

    Ours wasn't greasy at all.

For the LeFou's Brew I figured the same amount of points as a can of sugar soda. It's very sweet, but they said it has applejuice in it, so maybe it isn't quite as many points??

For the pork shank, we split it three ways. So I counted it as Cuisine Solutions Seared Pork Shank, which was listed as a third of it. It said 9 points. Is that possible?

The cinnamon roll I counted as a cinnabon classic, since I ate half, I claimed half the points.

What do you think? How would you do it?

Oh, the M&G photos with Tiana and Naveen are amazing. It really looks like they got into it just as much as JJ did. Love the one that Naveen is in his frog stance kissing up at Tiana!!

Wow! The mine is huge! That area is really undergoing a huge change. Disney has been running alot of adds lately promoting the new Fantasyland. Can't wait to see it in a month!! (OMG less than a month away) Was the crane to remove the lights from the Castle? When we were their in Sept 2011 all our castle pics have the crane putting up the lights....

Prices of pork have sure gone up! Your snack looked wonderful!

So glad JJ slept well and no movements. Praying today is the best day ever!

Waiting for the ins lady to call back. Please pray we get the news we need. I've done really well with WW since Shane has not wanted any dinner for the last three nights. He is just too beat to eat. My heart is breaking for him. Going to find his surgeon today to make sure he can get him in as soon as we get the green light from ins company.

Have a great day! We are supposed to reach 75 today!!!

Super fantastic terrific picture of the castle! You nailed it!

JJ looks so cute at the Tiana and Naveen Meet & Greet. We didn't get to see Naveen, only Tiana who wanted to know if we had brought her any crawfish since we were from her home State. My favorite pictures are the ones of JJ and Naveen acting like they were frogs. Cute!

We've eaten at Mama Melrose's before and really enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, we have another ADR there for our May trip. I don't know if it was a fluke but our wait time went way past our ADR time though. About 20 minutes more than our ADR time. Hopefully, that doesn't happen again. Didn't you say that JJ enjoyed pizza but he doesn't like a lot of smooshy sauce? They can make him a cheese pizza without any sauce. At least they could a year or so ago.
