Just a little road trip to Portland and Seattle -- a little rain and in the 50's -- nice spring weather for this neck of the woods. But in my mind I will be spending some time with you guys in the sands of Stormalong Bay and hanging on the Boardwalk. Some rum and coke sounds pretty darn good right now!

Okay, so looks like I missed the start of this because of just returning from our own trip. I envy those of you who have the time and energy to post so much while on vacation. I'm only on page 2 so far, but I'll catch up eventually.

Oh, and I love your photo of the Zebra backed balcony chair at AKV. I love those chairs too!

I can't believe that we've never ventured to the Boardwalk -- it looks so incredible!! Will defintely be going there when we visit in December.

Here's the CJ info from another DISer (kristenrice):

Anyways, your buddy's name is CJ. He is the only eland on the sunset savanna. The keepers love him because they say he is the most dependable critter. He is brought off the savanna every day from 8:30-10:30am for his check up. The guide says that CJ will get up from his "nest" (I'm sure you've seen his favorite sleeping area!) about 8am and start his morning saunter over to the gate. They say he is there at 8:30 sharp every day!

We got a similar story from some of the docents at AKV last week.

OK...now I'm a little confused. I really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here. I thought CJ was a Watusi cow that you introduced on page 2. What was she doing in a GV at BWV? Okay, caught up now. Awesome!! Love the pics of the BW... ah, Sept can't come fast enough.

Oh, btw, I have totally had that view at BCV, but from the 2nd floor. We also had a view from the other side of that building which did have the road, but also had Spaceship Earth.

We scored a DD view Congress Park, also. One night AP-rate cash ressie on a studio that was upgraded to a 2-bed, no less. For 2 people! We made sure to lay on all the beds, at least.

Oh, and we got a Bay Lake view VWL 1-bed for our first DVC reservation.

We have had good luck too with the 7 day call before. SSR to BCV, actually. LOVE BCV. What am I saying, I love all of it!
