i had a bag set from bed bath & beyond. lasted 6 years (2 for my brother then 4 for me). keep in mind some of the stuff will drop in price after the college school year starts. so my first year since i was in state, my mother sent me up with the basics and then got extras after a week or two (rug, one of those comfy folding chairs, throw pillows etc).
