Our flight was 2hours late so when magical express stopped at poly dd and I got off for lunch at Kona :) We then took mono to MK and boat to WL. We arrived around 2:45p . Our room was ready 7046 with a view of the castle, MK, cr and the monorail:cool1:

CMs here are so friendly:goodvibes

The food is yummy!!! (CL) I had the bacon wrapped scallops , hen pot pie, tomato caprese (sp?) and some fruit!!!

The cobbler at 8p was amazing! How to describe that crust???:confused3: :cheer2:

I am in bed listening to the sounds of Disney, boat horns, busses, and the water pageant :yay:

I love this post! I love how you took a 2 hour delay and turned it into a lunch at Kona and an unhurried trip to the lodge. Once we realized that we were going to be repeat visitors- no matter the time between trips- we learned to do this and the quality of our trips improved dramatically. Take what stresses out most people: long lines, rain, cancelations, closures/rehabs, cold/hot temps, etc. and turn things round by doing something else- there are always other choices! That is the secret to enjoying a WDW trip.
Someday that cobbler will be mine! (something else to look forward to)
Have a wonderful trip.
I am also drinking coffee out of my WL mug and vicariously enjoying all these reports.
Thanks!!!

Thanks everyone!!

Wow, I love staying on the monorail but I have to say this place is so relaxing:goodvibes

Watched fireworks from our balcony last night:yay:

Had breakfast with a great view of the pool and bay lake and then headed to ak this morning. Then took the bus to gf to shop!(that girl of mine loves Summer Lace). Mono to cr and boat back "home" as Sue might say.

Since I come down a few times a year we do try to "relax" and go with the flow. Not easy for a type A planner but I am learning:thumbsup2

It's so nice to have time to teach dd some lessons that will hopefully last a life time. We do a lot of talking on our trips :goodvibes

I am having probz posting pics so might have to wait. Sorry!!!

Grabbing apps at 5 then Hs for tot at 6, then F! then RR!!! What we call a GIRLS NIGHT!!! Then maybe squeeze in a few more and some shopping and back to see what tonight's cobbler will be.

Wish you and you and you were here :wave2:

I have experience at lots of the other Disney resorts, but not at WL...do you guys request certain rooms?

We booked a Woods View, and I usually request an "upper floor" as I don't like to hear people above me.

Are there Woods Views that are better then others?

Thanks! Can't wait! :goodvibes

Well done, Trish! I'm always happy to see that you have my glass of red wine in your CL photos . . . it's almost like I'm there! That view is just beautiful and I'm so confident we made the right choice for the first part of our Spring Break trip!

On page one are the room numbers. I have 7046 woods view CL. It is very loud at night. The fireworks and water pageant can be heard clearly through shut door so side facing the villas would be better if that is an issue. During the day however it's been quiet.

I don't mind the noises , I actually enjoy it so we are lovin it.

I'll try to get better pics later. I did a lot of videos at first. I love to watch them at home to remember that awesome trip I had:yay:

I think your boys will like here. It's my sons favorite, we often visit just so he can explore all of the hidden fireplaces and rock cases, lol!!:)

Oh I actually tried the grand mariner with the cobbler and it went together nicely:). Red wine just didn't seem to go??? Then again if it's blueberry then YES!

We were scheduled to stay at the WL from 2/28-3-8, but we got an offer that we couldn't pass up to switch to Club level at the Broadwalk! Hopefully we will get the pleasure of stating at the WL another time!

We had a Woods View (bunk bed) for our last visit and requested Otter Pond high floor and had a fabulous room with a view of Wishes and MK. I've put in the same request for our next trip! (I would love the same room as well!) We would watch Wishes from our balcony!

Back from golfing this morning and relaxing in the room after having lunch down in Roaring Fork.

Today is finally a nice weather day!
Lots of kids in the pool :)

Tonight off to MK for dinner at BOG (can't believe I was able to get an ADR for it) and to spend the evening there. Might go over to BLT to the Top of the World to watch the fireworks with a drink in hand ;)

Just want to make sure everyone knows that individual bottles of water were discontinued last year. In the summer, YC was one of the last CLs that still had some inventory, but I was told that when they ran out, they would no longer offer any to guests.

Just read this and it caught my attention. We are driving there on Thursday. Should I plan on bringing a case of water then? I too thought we could get bottled water in the lounge.

Wow! I am impressed!!!:cool1:

Dd is trying to rest after a busy school break working a lot of hours at her job and playing hard with her childhood friends . So while she took a nap I got bored and fell asleep:rolleyes:

So I stumble down the hall and was greeted by a cm cleaning tables on the wall where the coaches are(CL). I walk half way towards lounge and it is locked, oops! I forget WL locks it 4-5pm the monos resorts don't.

I turn around and walk back down the hall and pass where cm was working, he is now 3/4 the way down that hall away from but calls"ma'am is there something you wanted from the lounge?".

I apologized that I forgeot the lounge was closed I was looking for coffee.

No problem Rob says and gets me fresh brewed coffee.

After a nap I need my coffee! And people ask if CL is worth it???:goodvibespixiedust:

I just want to point out that I believe the top floor (7th near the lobby and in the upper wings) is dedicated CL. Unless you pay for that upgrade, your highest floor would be 6th in those sections, giving you an open balcony railing but people overhead.

Your best bet for top floor woods view is going to be requesting "north wing, top floor." However, be aware that the top floor rooms are dormer style, giving you an overhanging roof and a balcony with a brick wall rather than an open railing. Some people like the privacy, some find that it obstructs the view. I believe the highest floor with an open balcony in this area is 5th, but that will give you people overhead.

I have never heard noise overhead in our stays at WL.

Some woods view rooms open onto the lobby. I prefer these but there is a small noise factor.

Does anyone know how much cases of water are at the store in WL? I heard other resorts are $6 right now. We are headed to WL soon and wanted to avoid shipping water if we can get it for a decent price there.

Thank you.
