How exciting about the magic bands and only 25 days until Disney :yay:. I hope you will give a review after you stay. We are staying at the CR for the first time in December. We are booked TPV CL and I love reading about recent CR CL stays :goodvibes.

Will do!! We love the CR. I stayed there as a kid with my parents. Now I'm taking my kids. When my husband and I discussed our anniversary gift we both said Disney :-)

Now I just need the CG to open and I'm ready. Lol

I can't wait to hear all about it :goodvibes. How cool that you stayed there as a kid and are now taking your kids. Good choice for an anniversary trip......Disney is a great place to celebrate an anniversary ::yes::. I hope CG is open for your trip and that you're able to get an ADR. We've never eaten there but I'm thinking of trying to get an ADR for our trip as it gets great reviews ;).

I'll add everyone soon to the Log-orail:)

If you love a BLV, you can book one and request an Outer Villa so that your villa would not face other rooms, but instead face toward Bay Lake and CR or Bay Lake and SM/MK on the North side.

    That's great!

    :thumbsup2

What a special anniversary that will be - congratulations!

Thank you so much for posting that news today! I'll be booking for December on 8/26:goodvibes

You will just love BLT and you might find it hard not booking a Deluxe in the future;)

We are taking a family vacation next June with 11 people, staying at the Contemporary Theme Park View, cant afford concierge/club level so what would be the next best floor to stay on?

Our non CL visit we were on the 9th floor while the 10th and 11th were being renovated. It was phenomenal! Great views of the MK! We were second to the last room closest to the MK.

    Saving us from Page 2!

    Welcome back KOOK!

I have a question about geography of the resort. When the Fall/Winter discounts came out, it brought a tower room into my budget. TPV was not available (except for CL, which was out of my budget) so I got BLV and the CM made a request "customer highly requests a MK view" within the BLV category.

If, by some magic, this request is filled, and I do get a tiny sliver view of the MK from the BLV category, is that nearest or furthest from Chef Mickey's?

    Thank you!

If you are booked BLV at CR, you will not be able to see the MK. The rooms closest are on the North side, furthest from CM and next to BLT. If you are staying in a BLV BLT villa, there are some that are on the North/Outer side that you can see some of the MK off to your left. But, at CR there aren't any MK views from BLV rooms, so you will want to change your request to something more meaningful or remove your request. If you are booked Club Level with a BLV, the lounge has a MK view so you could view Wishes from there. I hope this news doesn't disappoint you too much.

Having stayed in the room closest to the MK on the BLV side - you cannot see the M K from your balcony but you can see it beautifully from your front door.

Nah, I'm okay with BLV. I'm just thrilled to be in the tower!!:cool1:

It makes sense now that you say that, and yes, I will probably replace the CMs request with more meaningful ones.

I think I will request a room on the highest floor (I'm not CL) and farthest away from Chef Mickey. Like everyone else in the place, :rotfl:

This brings up an odd question....are there windows or, "viewing areas" if you will across the hall from the BLV rooms??? Like windows between the TPV rooms or anything? :confused3

No, but the two ends of the A frame building are all windows. So when you walk out of your BLV room you look to the north side and see Space Mountain.

Ok, so I'm wondering if someone can help me figure something out. We were aiming to stay on cash at BLT in a 2 bedroom TPV villa the third week of July next year (right when value season starts.) We have been watching June and early July and things have been abundantly available at the 11 month mark from the check out day. This held true for a month. All of a sudden, you can't book ANYTHING past July 10. We went ahead and booked July 3-10 just so we'll have something and we are so excited and being there for the 4th is always fun, however, saving $1500 for the week by going in value season would be fun too ;). Does anyone have any idea why all of a sudden the booking won't show anything being available past July 10? DVC seasons are different, right? So people didn't book in late July bc it was less points and that would explain the fully booked status? I'm so dumbfounded! It's also VERY odd that it's still showing massive availability for July 3-10, but not as much for all the dates around that. I really hope it's not a computer error! Once we've booked, we're good, right!?

Is the CR CL open 24 hours? I know the CM's leave at 10 pm, but is the lounge still open/available after hours?

At YC, they did stock the fridge and leave out snacks before leaving and we liked that. Does CR do that? I know WL did not.

I want to say the cooler stayed stocked, but I may be wrong. The lounge is open to the floor so no way to "close" the area.
