We have reservations for dinner at the castle one evening and it says on the menu that gratuity is included in the price? We are on the dining plan and was wondering if that meant since technically we are not paying for our meal if the gratuity is still included or will we be paying gratuities?

Also with the Grand Gathering Experience at Epcot, the Illuminations Grand Gathering dinner will gratuities be included in that since it is being paid for on the Dining Plan as well?

Thank you for any help you can give!

When we were at Cinderella's castle on the DSddp our waitress told us the tip was included. We felt bad asking, but we didn't want to assume, leave nothing, and then she wouldn't get a tip lol.

CRT is a definite gratuity included (and technically, when you buy the dining plan you ARE paying for your meals...that's what the dining plan does: prepay your meal cost.) If the prepaid meal you purchase includes gratuity (like CRT & HDDR) then your dining plan covers it.

Can't help you with the Grand Gathering question...have never done one of those.

According to the DDP brochures if you use credits to pay for a Grand Gathering experience, gratuities are included.

Closing this now as all questions regaring tipping are restricted to the Tipping Information sticky thread at the top of the forum.
