That's a great tip to know about going later in the day. I have heard about people lining up to get Race merchandise. It's crazy but I will probably want stuff too after seeing it! What time do the crowds usually thin out? Noon?

I think so. I didn't go to Princess this year (injured, wahhh) but assuming it's like the other expos, the really dedicated people will be there waiting for the expo to be open. So I would think it will be a little calmer by noon-ish.

It's such a nice perk. There will be a code in the event guide that you add in to your Memory Marker account - the end of the code will be your race bib number. And your pics will be there! So make sure your race bib is easily visible during the race, that's how your pics are identified. I had this for the Tink races this year and the pictures were really nice!

So this trip is pretty exciting because it's my first RunDisney event.

That is super cool. I actually just took a look at the website for the Princess runs in Feb...and while they are sold out, you can still get entry if you do it with a charity and raise some funds...so....I have this crazy idea and am actually considering it...would be super cool to see you and @Elevationist ...but not sure I can swing it...

I only stopped for a couple during Tink, which is pretty unusual for me...most of the stops were the fairies, which weren't that interesting to me. But normally I do get a good amount of character pictures!

We went to Cape May Cafe for dinner on our second night and I have to be honest it wasn't what we were hoping it to be. It was acceptable but the crab legs while we were there were way over cooked and nothing ( except the hearts of palm salad) was memorable. DH is a huge buffet fan and he wasn't really impressed either.
But on the other hand the Wave ended up being one of our favorites! We went for breakfast one morning and liked it so much we went back for lunch the next day, so can't wait to go back there!

I've been hearing mixed reviews on this. I dont' think we'll have time to go during this trip but maybe we'll give it a try on one of the other trips planned for next year!

You are making me nostalgic for our Year of Disney in 2010...we did 5 trips as well, with the goal of experiencing many of the different special events at WDW (Star Wars Weekends, Food & Wine, Holidays). One of those trips was a last-minute bargain trip, so that can definitely be done...when you have an AP, you can pull off a WDW trip for pretty cheap! (By the way, I have no idea how I did it, given my current slow pace, but I did actually manage to do full TRs on all of them...I think having another trip pending motivated me to finish in a reasonably timely manner).

Dec 7th: Departure Day
We may start the day off at MK and head to Epcot for lunch
1:15pm Garden Grill. I may move it to a later time, not sure yet.
Our flight departs close to 8pm so we'll have quite a bit of time at Epcot. Maybe I will grab some ice cream at Beaches n Cream on the way back to the resort! I really love staying in that area as it's so close to my favorite park Epcot! Oh and @Dugette arrives today too, so maybe we can squeeze in a DISmeet?

So, our current plans are arriving early afternoon, going to Pop Century to unpack/rest if needed, then heading out to a park. The question is which park. As you know, planning anything related to evening events is tough, due to unannounced showtimes. What we want to do is go to the Star Wars Party and THEN go to a late dinner at Spice Road during Illuminations. So, presumably, if that works out, we'd be going to DHS first. HOWEVER, we want to make sure Izzy gets on Test Track (her first time going at 40") and we can't get a FP+ for it on our Epcot days because we need to use them on FEA (to make sure we ride at least twice). So, all this to say, we have a FP+ for Test Track at 4pm this day. We don't know for sure if we'll have time to get over to Epcot and use it, but if we do, that might be a chance to meet up! I hope things go really smoothly and we can!

I'm way, way behind but I did read all your updates. I'm glad all your plans are coming together and I hope you get some answers soon on the Star Wars dessert party and ROL. Yay for FPs booked and for MVMCP tix purchased!

I used to go quite often during the beginning of a December and it's probably my mist favorite time to go! Usually really good weather and I love how it's all decorated for the holidays. Makes the magic even more magical, if that makes sense!

Sounds like everything is coming together for your Christmas trip. I enjoyed seeing the decorations last year but it was so crowded. Perhaps the last year of Osborne lights had something to do with that. Hopefully this year will be a little calmer for you.

OFF TOPIC: NY Comic Con 2016

This past weekend was New York Comic Con at the Javitz Convention Center in New York City! It's a yearly tradition for us as we help my good friend, Ray, who owns an online toy/anime business, with his booth selling merchandise. It was a lot of fun but it's a lot of work for us, early mornings and late nights most of the days. We had a very special DISMeet as well. We got to meet @YukiPhnx and her husband Andrew for the first time after knowing each other on the DISBoards since 2009. It was so great to finally meet them and we're excited to meet up again. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

And here's our DISMeet with @YukiPhnx and her hubby, Andrew!! We saw them a few times over the weekend as they were there for all 4 days of the con. It was wonderful to finally meet up after knowing each other online and being part of each others 'Disney' trip reports!

Aren't their Mario and Luigi costumes so cute? It was so great meeting Yuki and Andrew and we spoke about possibly meeting up in WDW one year, that would be really fun as we all love Disney!

Oh and if I can ask a favor of you guys, my sister is trying to win a contest for free food from Go Go Curry USA. If you go to her picture on their Facebook Page which looks like the one below, please 'like' her picture and if she gets enough likes she wins free food! LOL. Plus, she's currently the only 'Disney' costume!
